As I sat there, in the dark room with nowhere to go. My thoughts started filing in " Will i ever get away? Wha if I never get out of here." Suddenly, the door swings open. It was just another Kai, the servant, something i would become as soon as i turn 16.
"The boss will see you now,"
"Why is this my life?!"
"I promise it will be ok,"
I looked away and out at the high window, I was scared about what would happen but also ashamed that I had just told a complete stranger the one question I had asked my self all my life. As I turned around, I was startled to see him right next to me. He held out his hand to help me up
"Come on, you know the boss doesn't like to be kept waiting"
I knew he was right so I summoned all my strength and stood up. We passed all the cells of victims of the dungeon until we reached a spiral staircase. I walked up first and when I reached the top, I had to walk through the most narrow hallway I had ever seen. At the end, beautiful golden double doors
I was quite hesitant as I knew what was on the other side. "This is where I leave you I'm afraid," Kai breathed uneasily
I turned around alto see fear in his eyes. I did the only thing I could summon my strength to do and nodded, telling him I was ok. I faced back to the doors as Kai pushed them open. I walked inside to a big study, and heard the doors creak shut behind me. I knew he was here. The room was dark and eery, and the golden doors were very misleading to what the room was. Bookshelves aligned the sides with a desk at the back, and that's when I noticed the big black figure standing at the back of the room as he always was.
"Hello, Tahlia" the mans voice filled the room and echoed off the walls. When his voice stopped i mustered all my strength to sound as confident as possible.
"Hello...Father."
