the two women settled in bed, each of them eventually letting out a tired sigh "ive been thinking about some things lately" camila laid down, resting her head on laurens chest as she bit down on her lip, not so sure about explaining these things that were crossing her mind "mhm im listening" lauren had an idea of what was crossing camila's mind due to past conversations they've had.
"i really think adopting is a good idea" the brunette looked up at lauren, raising her eyebrows in concern of what she would think "just think about it babe," camila brushed a strand of hair out of her face as she sat up, resting her back against the few pillows that allowed support "ollie isn't really ever around kids her age unless we're at the park. she has to learn to interact with kids and understand that she cant have everything to herself and honestly, the way we spoil her all the time isn't helping and won't help anytime soon." the stress had honestly been getting to both of them, more than they had wanted to admit.
the girls had adopted ollie when she was a newborn, just a few years after they had gotten married. the two found themselves falling in love at a young age and got married when they were just hitting their twenties. their families were a bit skeptical about it but overall wanted each of them to be happy and to be able to start a family of their own. camila's mother couldn't wait to have grandkids to spoil, and once ollie came along, she was sure to do just that. lauren's parents were the same way but often held off on spoiling ollie and focused more on teaching her to love life as it is. lauren's mother often took ollie out to garden with her or would have her help dust the house, small things like that. however, camila's mother was all about buying ollie the newest clothes and the newest toys, normally allowing the little one to get away with pretty much everything. camila and lauren were the opposite of their mothers when it came to raising ollie and they all put in a little too much as well as too little when it came down to it.
"i'm not saying it isn't a good idea but can we really handle that right now? financially?" lauren ran her fingers through her dark hair, letting out a small sigh under her breath. camila thought about it for a second, knowing lauren had a really good point "we'll be fine. i bring in quite a bit and my mom can always help out, you know she goes bat crazy over ollie, imagine how it would be with ollie plus another." she had a good point, if camila told her mom she couldn't buy any new clothes for ollie, her mom would be there with an entirely new wardrobe for her in a heartbeat. "i guess we could look into it," lauren grabbed camila's face, pressing her head against hers gently "it wouldn't hurt to have another little one running around, and to see how heated you get when they win you over with those little puppy dog eyes." lauren teased, kissing her lips before she could say anything.
camila returned the kiss, still feeling the butterflies that shot through her body when they had their first kiss "yeah yeah dont kill my vibe" she kissed her lips one last time before sliding under the covers and cuddling into lauren's side "goodnight baby, i love you"
