Chapter 13: The effect

Guiltiness or sort of was the feeling I had, it would bother me every time somebody would mention Jaime. I might be hurting him, me going out with Vic just like that.

"Friends?". "Only for a while" Remembering the exact same words we said to each other the other when I was sad and he came to room to make me feel better with movie and Ice cream. Those words "Only for a while" they escaped out of my lips like nothing else mattered but I'm not even sure what I meant.

Do I really want something more than friends with him? But if I do, what am I doing here?

"So Jess" said Alysha snapping me out of my thoughts.

She was sitting in front of me with Mike. She was extremely beautiful and Mike was very handsome just as his older brother.

"Yeah?" I finally answered

"How's been tour so far?" she said letting out a smile

"Oh, it's been an amazing experience, you know, I usually just take photos only but being a Tour manager is a lot of work but it's been fun" I explained

"So are guys... a couple... or something?" she asked and looked at me, at Vic and then back at me. I felt a knot on my throat.

"No, we just decided to come here with you guys since Mike invited us"

Vic explained. Thank God.

The night went on and basically we just talked and laughed a bit every once in a while. After dinner we just went out for a walk. He was walking by my side. Mike and Alysha soon disappeared obviously trying to let me and Vic to be alone. I bit my lip a little because of my nerves. We weren't talking just walking.

"Do you mind if I hold your hand while we walk?" he asked.

"no" I said softly. I almost escaped a blush but I fought it to not let it out.

He curled his fingers with mine, gently. Until we were just holding hands like if we were a couple walking together at night.

At some point he stopped walking  and stood in front of me. I bit my lip a little. I knew he was going to say something.

"You know, I just really... I just really like you ever since I saw you for the first time, it's driving me crazy"

I stared directly at him but I couldn't say anything. I was numb.

"Yeah?" I finally said

He smiled. "Yeah" he responded "I know we might not go too far but I'm glad you chose me as your date tonight."

Wow. I'm definitely making things worse. I know I like him too but I don't know if I like him enough. He's sweet and charming and I just feel like I'm playing with him. He's too good for me.

We kept walking silently holding hands. Looking at the sky and just talking about things that weren't necessarily important but it made me happy.

After a while Vic called the taxi and it took us back to the Hotel.

We held hands even in the lobby of the hotel room

"Jessy?" said the blondie girl coming towards me.

I didn't knew who she was until she came closer. Mikayla, my high school friend.

"Kay? Oh my god, how you been? I said and we hugged

"I've been great, what about you?" -"I've been good, oh this is Vic" I said pointing at Vic who just waved at her.

"Oh Hello, I assume you're Jess boyfriend" she said

"Oh no, he's my friend and he's the lead singer from the band I've been managing." He only smiled.

-"Um, I think I'm going with the guys first, so I'll see you then before we go to the club, Oh and nice to meet you Mikayla" he said nicely and left first.

"That's nice" she said

"Yeah... uhh so what are you doing here Mikayla?"

"Oh tomorrow is my sister's wedding so I'm just staying the night here with My fiance Christopher"

"Oh that's awesome, congratulations you too"

"Thanks Jess, I hope you can come to our wedding".

"When is it?"

-"In three weeks, I'm going to call you to let you know exactly when because there's been problems with the reception"

-"That'd be great, Thanks Kay"

"I have to keep going I'll see you around"

I said goodbye and headed upstairs to my hotel room. I walked through the hall and found the door 52 of my room just when I was opening the door I heard noises coming from the room in front. Jaime's and Tony's room.

"Woah what's on with you two!?"

That was Tony's voice

"Calm the fuck down both of you!"

That was Mike's voice

I heard the door opening and saw Jaime slam the door. Our eyes connected for a few seconds and then he just changed his sight and left.

What the hell just happened?
