Kat's POV

"If you don't sit down over there in the next five seconds, I will drag you over there myself." Chase said, elbowing my side as I stood standing by the vending machine with my food tray in my hands. I glared up at him but sighed, gaining all the courage I had and moved my feet forward.

"At a girl! Go get him!" Chase said, laughing as he walked over to his table with Niall. Niall grinned and winked at me before immediately greeting Chase with a bro handshake.

Taking a deep breath, I speed walked to the table and sat next to Cassie and her slutty friend, Erica, who gave me a dirty look. I snuck a glance at Kellin to see him staring at me with a blank expression in his eyes. I quickly looked away, looking down at my tray of food.

"Well, Kat, nice of you to join us. I was just telling Erica about how you have studying super hard for your training." Cassie said, grinning at me. I smiled but didn't say anything as I took a bite of my eggs.

Erica turned to me with a grin as well. "Yeah, you've been training real hard, huh?"

Resisting the urge to punch her face, I smiled sweetly. "Yeah as I'm sure everyone here has been. I'm no different."

"Spending time in the library shows more dedication though." She said, smirking. I shrugged.

"Or it shows I'm behind like hell." At that, she laughed loudly along with Cassie and I rolled my eyes while they weren't looking.

"You are so funny. Isn't she funny Kellin?" Erica said, batting her fake eyelashes at him. He glanced at her before resting his gaze on me with a forced smile.

"Yeah, she's something." He said before turning back to his food. I blinked in surprise. He seemed angry with me, did he know I was avoiding him? Well, probably but why would he be so pissed about it?

"Oh my gosh, so Darren called me to his room yesterday-" I tuned out of Erica and Cassie's gossip and stared at Kellin, who avoided my gaze. After giving up on getting his attention, I continued to eat my food while looking around the cafeteria.

Chase and Niall were goofing around with their stupid stories they tell each other but tell me later on when I see them. I chuckled at their current antic before turning my head to glance around some more.

As I turned my head to the table behind me, though, I caught Darren's eye on me. He stared me down as I did back to him, wondering why he was staring at me. He glanced behind me before looking away. I turned back to the table, confused, to see Kellin glaring at him.

I forgot Chase didn't tell me what exactly happened to the table. I guess I'll ask Kellin later if he isn't still angry with me.

"Individual training starts again today, everyone please go to your dorms to get ready." One of the guards announced and everyone got up. I took the opportunity of the distraction to try and talk to Kellin.

"Kellin, we need to talk-"

"Yeah. We do." He said, annoyed before turning away and disappearing out of the cafteria. I stared after him in shock. What the heck was his problem?

"Hey, did you talk to Kellin? I told you it wouldn't be that bad." Chase said as he walked beside me with Niall on the other side. I looked up at him with a glare.

"He's pissed at me. He has no right to be! He's not crushing on a married man!" I exclaimed, knowing no one was here to hear me as they all rushed out while we were taking our sweet time.

"Because he is a married man?" Chase said as if he was obvious. I face palmed.

"Wait, you're crushing on a married man?" Niall asked. We both stopped and stared at Niall in disbelief.
