Y/N POV:
I was stood in the canteen for our year group just stood leaning on a wall with teresa just beside me we both wore white shirts and white knee length skirts with our hair in ponytails but unknown to anyone but me and Newt I'm not wearing my shirt today this is Newt's because I won it off him a poker and I'm wearing it today to piss him off a bit it's working like normal me and teresa are stood discussing the boys we can see "so I give winston a 9" teresa said
"really a nine for winston?" I ask
"yeah he's hot!" she says
"but look at him?" I say to her
she just sighed happily "so?" she says
"whatever teresa all to their own, you want to get it on with winston be my guest" I say to her
"oh really then miss fussy who if you had to would you get it on with?" she asks
I have to look around at all the boys around none interest me none I can see anyway in truth there really was no boy's I liked that way but there was one I certainly liked enough to want to well at least kiss him don't judge me by I do kind of like Newt, he's cute and I've spent all my life with him how could I not like him a little more than a friend but I know teresa won't let me forget about it if she knew even if she was my best friend luckily I can't see him but I'm sure he's sat with his friends, unfortunately, I can see him now I think about it he's sat in his uniform doing some work and chatting to minho and thomas he's sat at the table leaning on his arm staring of into space while his hands still doing the work I don't know what he's staring at for a second are eyes connect we both can't help but smile I can see out the corner of my eye teresa's moving so she can see what I'm smiling at "oh ....my..... god" she says
"what?" I ask returning my view to the wall
"oh..my..god...y/n!" she says
"what teresa?" I ask
"you like Newt!"" she smirks
"I do not!" I say playfully hitting her arm
"you so do y/n, oh my god" she squeals "y/n's in love with Newt, y/n's in love with Newt" she says
"I'm not in love with Newt" I say
"are you so are, oh my god you two would be so cute together" she says smiling at me like mad "wait back in a second" she says before she ran off in another direction I don't know where she's going all I know is thomas and minho have left Newt alone he's still staring off into space I can't help but wonder what he's staring at I follow his eyes gaze and he's staring at the wall the wall is interrupted by teresa coming back her shirt is now all untucked from her shirt and the top buttons that had been done up on her shirt where undone "where did you go" I ask her
"where do you think" she said turning to thomas and minho who were just walking back over to Newt there uniform was also out of it's normal place and they each had teresa's peach pink lipstick on their faces well that explains where she went she gave them a wink then leaned on the wall beside me "why did you do that teresa you said yesterday you were giving up, on the whole, useing your body to get what you want" I ask her
"because I had to know something" she replied
"what did you need to know?" I ask her
"what Newt's been staring at" she answered
"oh? and what's he staring at?" I ask
"you y/n" she answered
"no, he's just looking at the wall" I reply
"no minho said Newt's had his eyes glued on you for the last half hour" she said
"no, he's just spaced out as usual," I tell her
"whatever, it's the honest truth apparently," she said and we both laugh
