Falling in Love

The tips of his finger climb towards the clouds,
searching for a soft touch to grasp his hand.
His arms become tired,
no warmth would reach him.
He could feel himself give up.
How could anyone love him for the person he became.
Nobody understood him or tried to.
His arms give in,
returning to his torso.
Eyes watching as others elope;
lips hands, heads, souls.
His heart becomes cold in envy, feeling emotions slip away.

His heart closes off everyone that comes his way,
this boy that doesn't know how to express his heart out.
People came and went from his lonely life,
not sparing a glance back.

He suffers by himself,
no one would help him,
until a creeping warmth was felt behind him.
He turns around to seek the person who dared.
A smile reaches the boy's pools of red, threatening to uncover his dark secrets.
He tries to hide himself away from this boy, but the other sought him out.
The boy out for his heart would never leave him be, staying by his side.

For what felt like an eternity, a touch reaches his hands.
The boy who thought nobody would love him hesitantly wraps his fingers around the hand that tried so long for his affection.

It becomes clear that they harbor the same emotion for each other, and reach towards the clouds together. Hand in hand.
They'll never let go.

"I love you."
