After the confession from Jamie, the Brit could work better.

He finally got the feelings out of his system and focused on the task at hand. He hummed softly as two more codes were cracked before a phone call interrupted him.

Jason lazily walked over to the wall and answered it before frowning. "Uh-huh... Yeah.... on it right now." He informed the other person.

"What's going on?" Tim asked as Jason hung up the phone.

"Dick needs backup. He was investigating Colin Wilkes' home today and when he arrived there was nothing left of the room." Jason explained, shrugging his coat on.

Jamie nodded, "Who all is going with you?" He questioned curiously.

"Me and you." Jason answered, turning towards the confused Brit, "You're excellent with analyzing things. Tim needs sleep anyways."

Tim groaned but sighed heavily, "Fine. I'll nap. I won't enjoy it, but I'll nap." He complained before carrying a cup of coffee to the resting area, which was Dick's office.

Jamie stood up and shut off the computer as he followed Jason out the door.

As they made their way out of the building, a strawberry blonde looked up in surprise, "Oh! Jason! I was coming to bring you lunch, I see you're busy though." He smiled softly.

Jason's heart melted and he coolly walked over to him, "It's fine, Valentine, Tim will enjoy it." He assured.

Valentine nodded and kissed Jason's cheek gently, "If you say so, make sure you're safe." He waved goodbye before heading into the department's door.

Jason turned to a smirking Jamie, "Oh be quiet. You have no room to talk." He told him with his own smirk.

Jamie laughed, "Maybe so, but you look like such a puppy when Valentine is around." He teased, getting on the back of Jason's motorcycle.

"Ha-ha. Dick lover." Jason howled with laughter, "It's a double entendres!" He started of the bike so he didn't have to hear Jamie's reply.

Soon they arrived at the house of Colin and saw Dick looking confused as he saw them ride up, "We have a company car for a reason." He said with a lopsided smile.

Jason got off and held out his hand for Jamie to climb down, but Jamie ignored it and just skillfully climbed down himself. "Motorcycles are faster and more efficient."

Dick rolled his eyes, "Not when it can get you shot during a chase." He reminded.

"That was one time! And I didn't have my bullet proof windshield at that time!" Jason insisted, motioning to the bullet scar on his bicep.

Jamie scoffed, "I don't want to even think about Valentine's reaction. It was either super worrisome or he was super impressed by you." He sighed heavily.

"Both actually." Jason sneered as he took the helmets and put the on the handlebars. "Right, so what are we looking at?"

Dick snorted, "Nothing. Didn't you hear my call? All the furniture and everything else just... disappeared." He pointed to the windows above that were no longer glassed over, so it was just an empty frame.

"Did they push it out the window...?" Jamie asked with a puzzled expression.

"Don't know, that's the crazy part." Dick replied, hand on his hip and confusion in his eyes.

The two officers +one, walked up the apartment stairs and to the barren place.

Inside there was nothing but dusk and scratches on the floors from furniture being dragged.

"Wow... you weren't kidding." Jamie murmured, walking throughout the echoing room.

Jason searched the rooms, and Dick walked up to Jamie, "Jamie, we need to talk..." he started.

Jamie furrowed his brows, "Now? Of all times?" He asked, looking at him incredulously.

There was a creak in the floor as Jamie took a step backward, "Jamie please-"

"No, not right now. You're confusing me and-"Jamie's eyes widened as he pressed back into a wall, falling through it with a loud crash.
