Jamie watched the screen that held Dick's vision, Tim had Jason's. They paid close attention as the men walked down the eerily quiet hideout.

"Jason, you see anything yet?" Dick asked, his voice hushed but tense.

"Not a thing."

"Dammit." Dick pushed a crate out of his way and his heart pounded, there was a cell door. He motioned for Jason to come over and they carefully made their way down.

Tim leaned close to the screen, "Be careful, the map is picking up heat signatures."

"How many?"

"Three, Damian and two others."

The males nodded and soon they reached a metal door. Inside they heard laughter.

"Haha! Can't believe you actually got the brat!"

"Picked him right off of the road, on his way home from school. Should have seen his friend's face! He was crying for his mom!"

"How was he?"

"He was silent, like he is now."

"You sure no one knows where we are?"

"Of course. I only left... a message."

"How did you know when to kidnap him?"

"Every time a code is unlocked I get a straight to text notification."

"I see, well, let's get down to business."

"To defeat the Huns..." Jason whispered to himself as they stalked closer.

Tim rolled his eyes, "You're such a nerd, now, keep silent... do you have your tear gas?"

"Got it." Dick ran his fingers across the metal canister.

As they were about to burst into the room Jamie said to Dick, "Careful, love." He then frowned at what he said, but Dick didn't mention it.

Tim noticed it and smiled slightly before giving them the okay.

The two males charged the room, surprising the two doctors in the room. Damian was strapped to a table, his shirt off and lines drawn with markers to show where the incisions were going to be. His green eyes widened and he yelled for Dick.

"I'm coming Lil' D!" Dick threw the canister and it exploded, making the room fill with gas.

Dick and Jason had on their masks, Damian would be knocked out but at least he would be saved.

Two large thumps sounded, notifying them that the men fell unconscious as well.

Jason and Dick called for backup, the other officers cuffing them and tossing them into the back seat.

Dick cradled Damian and sat with him in the ambulance, his face filled with worry and relief.

A couple hours later, Damian had awoken and so had the criminals which were now deemed Frankenstein and Igor.

Jamie, Tim, and Jason stood in Damian's room at the near back, letting Dick and Damian have their time together.

Damian hadn't been afraid for himself, he was afraid for his friend Jon and for his brother Dick. He hugged his brother tightly, finally free of the gases effects.

"I'm so sorry..."

"I'm fine, Grayson..."

They smiled at each other before Damian stuck his tongue out and flicked Dick in the forehead.

The room was filled with gentle laughter.

Afterwards, Jamie was packing his things up in the homicide department. He sighed softly as his suitcase closed with a click.

"Are you really leaving?" Dick asked, appearing in the doorway.

Jamie paused and bit his lip, "I'm not needed anymore... you know that." He answered.

"I need you..."

The British boy turned to face him with a pained expression, "You said before you didn't..."

"I was lying..." Dick stepped forward, "Jamie... I love you so much... and I'm so sorry I hurt you. I was afraid... I was afraid to love someone other than the two things I knew. I knew how to work and I knew Damian... I was new to the whole love thing and I just... I didn't want to mess things up with you."

Jamie teared up a bit and his cheeks flushed red, "Well..." he turned away, "I'll see you later..."

"Yeah..."

The smaller male stepped out the door before turning around and a small smile tugged his lips, "By later I mean at eight... pick me up." He left.

Dick smiled.
