Shawn arrived minutes after I sent him the text. I didn't feel like contacting Noah, knowing he will only get mad at Niall and start something that's not needed. Shawn, on the other hand, won't go and beat up my ex. He will instead listen and comfort. He's like a second brother if you will.
We sit there in the silence, my body embraced into a securing hug. We stay like that for awhile until Shawn feels it's time to discuss things.
"Do you want to tell me what happened?" he asks out of concern. I nod my head in response.
"Niall broke up with me," I say bluntly as tears start to brim my eyes.
Shawn takes notice and immediately brings me back into his chest. Within seconds, I'm crying into his shirt. He rubs my back and whispers things like "it's going to be okay."
I pull back from him and state, "He says I have feelings for Tom."
"Well do you?" Shawn questions.
"No, I love Niall, not Tom!" I whisper yell. I then go back into Shawn's chest.
Shawn takes a deep breath before saying, "Sav, everything happens for a reason. I know it hurts, but you'll find someone so much better than him. You don't need him. You have your whole life ahead of you."
I look back at him with a smile and say, "I love you."
He smiles back in satisfaction that he got me to smile while saying, "I love you too."
