Ronnie’s P.O.V.
get away from everything and everyone. My life was an absolute mess. School was horrible, everyone at school hated me. They called me names, pushed me around, and treated me like shit. I dont know what I did to deserve it. And my parents didnt give a crap about how I felt. When I would tell them what happened at school they just brushed it off like it was no big deal. But it was, and they didn't understand how much pain I had to go through everyday. It was a struggle even getting myself out of bed to go to school. They were barely even there to begin with. Always at meetings out of town leaving me here with just my thoughts. I would think about the things they would call me at school. “Ugly, fat, slut, worthless.” After a while I started to believe them. But that was all behind me now. I’m moving on, starting a new life. Somewhere far away from here…
I’m now on my way to the airport. I didnt want to stay here any longer. I just couldn’t. I had to
--
Im boarding the plane now. Im doing it, im actually doing it. Once I found an empty seat I sat down. I didn't bring much with me. Seeing as this was a last minute decision. All I have is a bag of clothes and money. My thoughts were interrupted by someone sitting down next to me.
“Is it okay if I sit here?” He asks me.
“Yeah sure.” The biggest thing that stood out about him was his light purple hair. He also had green eyes and pink full lips.
After the flight attendant talked about the safety conditions the plane starts to move. This was my first time on a plane and I honestly was a little nervous.
“What’s wrong?” The purple haired boy asks me.
“I’m just kind of nervous. It’s my first time on a plane.”
“There’s nothing to worry about. Planes are completely safe.” I smile not really being convinced. “I used to be scared to go on planes to. It really helps if you talk to someone.”
“Would it be okay if I talked to you?”
“Yeah of course! So what’s your name?”
“Ronnie.”
“Cool, I’m Michael. So why are you going to London Ronnie?”
“I’m…” I don't know if I want to tell a complete stranger that I’m running away. He’ll probably just think I’m crazy. “I’m visiting a friend. how about you?”
“Same actually. I’m visiting my three friends.”
“Cool.” There was an awkward silence after that.
“I like your hair.” MIchael finally said. My hair is blonde but I dyed it red.
“Well I can say the same about you.” I chuckled
“You like it don’t you?” He said running his fingers through it.
“It’s alright. If you want to look like a flower.”
“I do not!” He said making a pouty face.
“Dont worry. Your a very pretty flower.”
“Well thank you.” He said laughing, then yawning after.
“Are you tired?”
“Yeah a little.”
“I’ll leave you alone if you want.”
“No, no it’s fine. Your actually pretty good to talk to.”
“Thanks.” It’s weird but it’s just now that I’m realizing his accent. “So where are you from?”
“Australia.”
“Oh cool! I’ve always wanted to go there.”
“Yeah it’s really pretty in some places.”
“Yeah. My parents went there for their honeymoon. I saw the pictures and it was beautiful! Ever since then I’ve wanted to go.”
“Don't worry you will eventually.” He says smiling.
“You know Michael you're a really sweet guy. Most guys would just brush me off and leave.”
“Well thanks. And even if I wanted to leave I couldnt. There are no other seats.” We both start laughing. “So what’s your favorite color?” He asks after we stop laughing
“Probably blue.”
“Figures.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You look like the kind of person who would like blue.”
“Well what’s your favorite color then?”
“Green.”
“Why?”
“Because green is awesome!”
“Yeah okay.” I was getting a little tired, so I decided to take a nap. “Hey Michael, would you wake me up before we land?”
“Yeah sure.” And with that I drifted off to sleep.
