these things don't usually happen. not to me. i always seemed to have a stable mind and knew what to do when i was anxious. but today wasn't that day.
"hey baby." i hear noah from downstairs.
i shake off my unusual racing heart and join him.
"hey." i coo wrapping my arms around him. he nuzzles his head into my neck kissing me lightly.
but instead of enjoying the moment my body had other plans.
"why are you so tense?" he pulls away rubbing his hand up and down my arms.
i bite my lip anxiously turning away.
"i don't know." i mumble.
"y/n."
i could sense the worry in his voice.
my breathing got faster.
i walk away.
"y/n stop."
i don't.
"y/n baby you're scaring me." his voice cracks.
i feel his footsteps behind me, the sound was getting louder making my head pang.
the room was spinning and my throat became dry.
before i knew it noah had me in his arms just before i fell.
he settles me down looking completely haunted.
"y/n look at me." he presses his hand to my face caressing me.
my chest was rising and falling, you could hear my heavy breathing from a mile away.
"baby please, i got you."
even though everything was blurry, he was as clear as day.
i look at him, my heart slows.
"okay, okay good." he smiles, we were making progress.
but his hands were shaking.
"you know i'm not that good at this stuff but my mum told me to always focus on something and breathe, so you focus on me okay? keep your eyes on me."
i nod gulping. my hand grips his wrist needing to feel some sort of support.
"just breathe with me."
is all he says.

my head still throbbing but my heart, was steady and my hands stopped shaking. my eyes still fixed on him.
i smile weakly as i feel his strong arms wrap around mine releasing a sigh of relief.
my head rests on his shoulder as i hold him tight.
you're going to have days when you're not feeling yourself. but knowing you have someone to take you back down to earth. you'll be okay.
