It was my first day at John Jason middle school. I was not looking forward to this school year.

You know how everyone has a best friend that they always hangout with and always get lucky having the same classes together? Well I don't have one of those kinds of besties. My best friend moved to New York City. Now I have to tackle middle school all by my self. Hooray.

By the way, my name is Samantha Garcia. I am an only child. My moms name is Bella and my dad's name is Jeremy. My best friend in New York right now is Ambree. I am actually jealous sometimes because Ambree is beautiful with her wavy light brown hair, her style of clothing and her smile.

I mean like I have a normal athletic style since I play soccer. Just jeans, a T-Shirt and a pair of converse. She wears beautiful shirts and pretty skinny jeans. (By the way i hate skinny jeans because I get hot and I can't run.) She also has beautiful mini dresses too and accessories. Plus she is popular. I was sort of popular in elementary school because I was her friend but I was like the lower level of popular.

"I wish I could be her. See what it's like. Switch bodies or-." I was interrupted by my alarm on my phone.

"Dang it!" I shouted. That alarm was my ten minute warning bell. That meant i had to leave in five minutes. And I am still in bed!

"Sweetie I know you hate school, but could you be on time for the first day at least?" My mother said.

"Okay mom!" i yell back.

I quickly slip on a baby blue shirt on and a dark shade of pink jeans. I know they don't match but i am in a rush okay.

I brushed my hair as neat as it could get. Luckily my hair isn't too long so it's easier to comb but it's not like super short hair.

I was planning to curl my hair and wear a cool shirt but now I can't. I slip on my black converse and head down stairs.

I grab a piece of bread and put it in the toaster. Then i yell at my mom.

"Mom! Get the car running. After my bread finishes, we are leaving! We are running late!"

"Don't tell me what to do! And what do you mean 'We are running late?!' I ain't going to school!" My mom says it like she's a teenager again but that's her personality. So most times i get into trouble, she doesn't yell at me. Although I am not sure if I like her teenage personality or not because sometimes it's like if i have an older sister when I don't. It's just my mom.

We finally get in the car and leave. Thank goodness! I had only six minutes to get to school. The thing is my middle school is right next to an elementary school so that means double traffic. Especially on the first day.

I get to my school and run up the stairs. Then i slow down and try to blend in with the other kids in the hallway. Then I saw something that crushed my heart in a million pieces.
