Summer has just ended and the halls of the prestigious Ouran Elite Private Academy are once again filled with the boisterous laughter of its students as they discuss where they had been for summer vacation. The most exotic of destinations can be heard in the hallways. Some went to Bali, others went to Hawaii, Spain or even Brazil. The worries of school not yet reaching most students.
Though there is one, not engaging in the talks of luxurious swimming pools and the warm rays of the sun, but instead focusing on her newly assigned schoolwork. She is (Y/n) (L/n), a first year middle school student in class 1-A. She sits at her desk, neatly writing down the assignments the teacher had left on the blackboard. Raising her head and then lowering it again to continue writing, the girl doesn't pay attention to anything other surrounding her. She raises her head once more, squinting at the words at the front of the room. She had noticed a while ago that her vision was starting to get worse, but it's only now that she's slowly understanding that it might become a problem.
She sighs. The words too blurry for her to comprehend them at first glance and her will to continue this silent battle completely gone. She gathers her books and tidies up her desk. Raising from her seat, she searches for her cellphone in her bag and swiftly exits the classroom once she finds it.Stealthily maneuvering around the students to not disturb them, she breathes a sigh of relief when she reaches her destination, the Middle School Courtyard. There are some students spread around the large open space, girls in their brown uniform with their skirts dancing in the breeze and boys wearing the ivory jacket trying to look cool sitting at the grand fountain. (Y/n) takes a deep breath while she closes her eyes, inhaling the fresh air and enjoying her small moment of peace.
She opens her eyes, gazing up at the clear blue sky and the clock tower indicating 10 AM, visible behind the buildings. The beauty of her school continued to amaze her every day. She admires the view a bit more before turning her attention to the matter at hand. Flipping open her phone and dialing her trusted butler's number, she makes her way to sit at the fountain. It takes only a couple rings before the older man's soothing voice answers her.
"Good morning again, young miss. What can I help you with?"
A smile forms on her lips. She focuses her gaze on the sky above again as she opens her mouth to answer her butler.
"Good morning, Seien-san. I would like for you to arrange an appointment with a good optometrist for me. Preferably for this afternoon if possible."
The butler hums in acknowledgement.
"Certainly miss. I will inform you about the details of your appointment when we come pick you up from school. Until then try your best and have fun."
The girl nods, only realizing after that her butler cannot see it. She says her goodbyes and raises from her seat at the fountain. She stands there for a while staring at the sky, a content smile on her face, until she nods to herself and turns to head back to her class with a skip in her step.
