Chapter 14

I woke up with the sunshine on me and the windows open with the air blowing in. I stretched as I noticed that Michael was gone. I sat up rubbing my eyes as I noticed a note on the bed side table.

Jane

I am going to be at the studio for most of today, we are finishing some tracks and I'll be home later. I really enjoyed last night, you're such a sweet and loving girl whose love brings me a joy and elated feeling that I never thought I'd have. You make my days worth enjoying and my nights worth dreaming. I love you very much and I have a surprise for you this evening. I'll have someone pick you up at 8.

I smiled at the note and went downstairs for breakfast.

Later that evening....

I put on my Mickey Mouse tank top and black high-waisted jeans with my red pumps. My brown hair lied down with curls. I heard the doorbell and I had been anxiously waiting for a long time. I jogged to the door and was escorted by Paul, one of Michael's limo drivers.

We drove in silence for a while until Paul spoke up. " Ms.Markuss, Mr.Jackson has some wonderful things planned for you this evening."

" Oh well I'm very excited." I said giggling.

We stopped at this gate to this mini area with some amusement rides. I was very unfamiliar with this area, but then again I'm still new to Encino.

" Paul, what is this?" I asked.

" Oh, Ms.Markuss, Mr.Jackson had some amusement park companies come and set up some rides here on these park grounds . Just for you two." He said smiling. We stopped and he came around to open my door.

I nodded as I walked out. My heels clicked against the pavement as I walked to the enterance. There were lights all around like a Circus. I smiled in enjoyment. I was still unsure of Michael's whereabouts. I walked down a strip where there were cotton candy booths and games. That's when I saw him standing there at the end . He had a rose. My favorite rose. It was yellow. He had a pink sweater and black slacks that were always too short, but they always seemed to look good on him.

I gave him a small smile and he but his lip fighting back a smile also as we walked to each other. I hugged him and he kissed my cheek. He always made me feel like a princess.

" Thank you." I said smelling the rose.

" Shall we?" He said putting his arm out for me to link on to.

We spent the night laughing, eating cotton candy, playing games, and riding the rides. He always made me feel like a giddy little child. His laugh lit up everything and made you feel happy inside. I love him very much.

We got on the carousel and I got on the zebra and Michael got on a hippo.

" A hippo, Michael?" I said laughing.

" What's so funny about a hippo?" He said giggling.

The ride started and the circus music stopped and this tune started that sounded more pop-ish. Then Michael's voice came on.

I lost my heart on the carousel, to a circus girl, who left my heart in pieces..

I looked at him and he smiled back. He got off his animal while the ride was still going and held my hands.

" Michael...you're gonna fall.." I giggled as I grasped him tighter.

" Jane...I've never felt this way about someone my entire life and somehow this feeling stuck and I can't seem to get it out of my head and the only way I can is to do what my heart tells me. Marry the girl I love. And being with girls has never been an easy thing for me to do. But you make me feel like I'm with my best friend. Jane Markuss, would you be my wife?" He said pulling out a box with a ring that had a shiny diamond.

My heart sped up as I heard him say those words . But I didn't feel anxiety. I felt an overwhelming feeling of happiness. " Yes , Michael. Yes I will." I said hugging him as a tear slipped from my eye.

He slid the ring onto my finger and flashed those beautiful teeth as he did. I modeled it out and smiled at it with pride. I kissed him passionately and we both smiled.

After we spent hours at the park, it was 1 am. I got into the limo with Michael and I laid my head on his chest and the diamond glimmered in the moonlight.

" Do you like it?" He asked.

" Of course. I love it." I said.

" Good. LaToya said it was good and she wears a lot of jewelry so.."

" LaToya? I thought she was on vacation with your mother?"

" Oh..yeah they never went. This was all a plan..Mother and Joseph are staying at Jermaine's and Janet is at LaToya's..." He said laughing.

" You little punk." I said giving him a light tickle and he laughed.

Michael moved the small curls out of my eyes as I drifted off to sleep. I felt him kiss my forehead and whisper to me.

" I can't wait to marry you."
