Chapter 5: Kaname

    The next day was still awkward between Zero and Luka. Yuki looked at the two of them trying to figure out what's going on since yesterday. She's been wondering about Luka's disappearance.  

"Zero you've been acting strange around Luka, are you okay?" Yuki sounded worried.

He just looked at her coldly and walked off saying nothing. At the corner of Yuki's eye she saw Luka went up to Zero like they were best friends got her jealous. Zero cracked a smile at Luka, but he didn't want Yuki to see it so he slightly turned his head.

This made her think that Luka was going to steal her childhood friend away from her. As she was planning to talk to Zero the next day when Luka wasn't around. When she came in her eyes widen to see Luka next to Zero. Seriously what happened to them 2 nights ago that got them this close? 

"Hey partner" Luka grinned softly at him. He gave Luka a small smirk. Yuki eyes widen in awe he never had a kind side when she was with him from the start. Why is he changing with the transfer student when she was always with him.

Everyone in class was surprised that Zero isn't as cold hearted. They tried talking to him, instead they got the cold shoulder.

"Zero you're soo mean!" one of the boys exclaimed.

During break Yuki went up to Zero and Luka saying hi. She didn't like that Luka got to be closer to Zero than she was but why was she angry at Luka--of course she was happy that Zero had another friend besides her. She SHOULD be happy for Zero and not blame the transfer student.

The silver head man was opening to him that she never knew bit by bit making yuki sad. After class she grabbed Zero's hand without thinking and pulled him out of the room to the woods.

"Yuki stop!" Zero yelled frustrated.

"B-but zero? I wanted to talk to you" she looked at him letting his hand go.

She was hesitant and he was getting impatient. "Spill it now--I got to do my duty soon and I got patrol too" his words made her flinch. All of those bottled up feelings had explode.

"What's so good about him! I've known you longer than he had! Why do you like him more than me!" Yuki burst out then clammed her mouth shut with her hands.

"It doesn't concern you--Now leave me alone Yuki--Go to your Pureblood that you like so much" he knows it will hurt her but it was the truth.

The look on her face shows hurt, betrayal and jealously. Just before he could say something else she had already ran off. He just stood there scratching behind his neck sighing. Although he never thought she could be jealous over something that wasn't her business. 

Luka was sitting at the fountain alone thinking to himself while playing with the water. "It feels nice" as he dumped his hand into the cold water. Now again his mind was distracted with thoughts of Zero that's when he didn't know the pureblood was standing behind him.

"Hello Haruhiko-san" a voice he didn't want to hear made him jolt, as his skin met the cold water as it engulfs his body around him.

The man grabbed his waist and pulled him out. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you" he was going to put his coat on the wolf's shoulders when he growled at him. "Don't you ever talk to me or touch me with your filthy hands!"

Luka thrashed against Kaname's arms when he felt himself being ripped from the man. His red eyes met Zero's beautiful lavender eyes. Wait beautiful??

"Zero?!" he was surprised but he had his focus on the pure-blood. Luka called his name over and over.

"Zero!" Luka cupped his face with his cold wet hands. "No matter how much we want to kill him,  but right now I'm soaked!" He shivers.

Zero sighs and glares at the vampire before leaving. "Dumbass you let him touch you?" He laughed a bit.
