Face Your Fears!

Rad and K.O. ran up to Mr.Gar with huge smiles on their faces. "Mr. Gar, Mr. Gar!"

Mr. Gar turned to Rad and K.O. "Huh?"

"There's this new game at the arcade called "The Face of Fear". It makes you face your biggest fears, and adjusts your fear resistance stat depending on how well you do!" Rad explained. "Look how fearless we've become." He shows Mr. Gar his and K.O.'s Pow Cards.

Mr. Gar scowled. "10? 15? You kids and your videos game, pah! I never needed some cockamamie machine to help me face my own fears."

"What's your fear resistance, Mr. Gar?" K.O. asked. "I bet it's pretty high."

"I haven't checked in a while, it's probably through the roof by now... He pulls out his Pow Card and checks his stats. "It's... 8?!

Rad, K.O., You, and Enid gasped. "8?!"

"This is absurd! I- I guess I haven't updated it in a while... Not since I left P.O.I.- " Mr.Gar laughed nervously. "What I mean to say was, there'd be no point in me checking, since I'm impervious to fear. Heh, heh."

"Then I guess you wouldn't be afraid of playing the game and updating your info?" You asked slyly.

Title card appears

"I'm only doing this to set an example for my employees, you know. I haven't got anything to prove. This best be worth my time-"

Carol walked by, humming. "Hey, kids! Hey there, Gar."

K.O. smiled. "Hi, mom!"

"I'll be back around later to pick you up, okay hon?"

"Okay, mom."

Mr. Gar stammered. "Sss.... Bye, Carol! Huh?" Carol was already gone.

K.O. looked up at his boss. "Alrighty Mr. Gar, are you ready? There it is!"

"The Face... of Fear!" Enid said dramatically. "Just step right up and insert your Pow Card."

(Arcade Game) "Select Difficulty!" Mr. Gar turns difficulty meter. "Extra hard!"

Enid looked at Mr. Gar nervously. "Uh, I don't know if that's a good idea-"

Mr. Gar turned meter past the possible level

"Super extra hard!"

Mr. Gar scoffed. "Kids and their videos and game."

"This isn't gonna go well....probably." You thought aloud.

Mr. Gar plugged into the game. The game screen reads "Terror!". Mr. Gar looked terrified.

"Is Mr. Gar okay?" K.O. asked.

"Should we help him?" Rad asked.

Enid stepped in front of Mr. Gar. "Yeah, but we can't just unplug him, it says right here that he'll go into a coma." Dendy appears from the panel Enid was pointing at. "Oh my Gar!"

Dendy popped out of the pannel. "I may be of assistance here."

"Dendy!"

"Greeting, friends. I can hook up an extra VR helmet to Mr. Gar so someone can enter his fear space and help him."

You smiled cockily "I'll take care of this. Hook that baby up to me. I do have a pretty high fear resistance after all!"

K.O. cheered you on. "You can do it,
Y/N!"

Enid and Rad smiled at you. "We belive in you!"

Dendy turned to you. 'Preparations are complete. And... enter."
