On a quiet day in the Amazonian jungle, the wind was blowing, trees were swaying. Everything was at peace…

Until a helicopter came over -top of the jungle, disturbing all peace waking every small animal.  A brown haired girl by the name of Lyra Bella McBride opened the helicopter door, looking down with determination.

The pilot looked back on her with worry and asked with a slight yell

“Are you sure about this, Lyra?”

She looked back at him and slightly yelled back

“I’m sure, Jerry! Just get a bit lower so I can jump!”

As he lowered the helicopter, he got more worried and asked

“Are you sure you can go through with this?”

“I’m sure, just stop worrying! Just pick me up right here in three days, at noon!”

“Alright then, I’ll see you soon, Lyra!”

“Goodbye Jerry!”

As she waved goodbye, she fell backwards with her arms crossed on her chest, breathing deeply as she fell from 200 feet in the air.

Lyra was different from everyone else.

Usually people falling from 200 which now became 150 feet in the air would be screaming and flailing their arms for help.  But for her, she took one more deep breath and deployed her parachute.

She landed with a safety roll onto the ground, and ended up on her back, staring at the sunny blue sky.  Soon she got up, brushed the dirt off her shirt, got her stuff and started hiking to her destination.

Soon after many hours of walking in the hot sun, she looked ahead to see the Temple of the Emperor’s Tomb.

She straightened her messy brown hair and grinned with determination.

“Well,” she said with a sigh

“I guess it’s time…”

She setup a camp and prepared her equipment and attached a few other things to her belt, and took off. For her journey in the jungle has just begun…

Lyra was big-headed, so she thought she wouldn’t come any obstacles. But soon as she was about to take another step, she saw the deep, darkness of the canyons.

She looked down with a bit of fright, but she breathed deeply, and thought to herself

Looks like it’s time to the old routine…”

She used her grappling hook and swung from branches, knowing that if she misses one, she falls in the darkness below.

But as she landed, she slipped and lost her balance, putting lots of pressure on her right wrist.

She grits her teeth in pain, and almost fell onto her back, but got onto her knees. She felt like she couldn’t continue, so she grabbed a bandage and wrapped her wrist immediately.

She got up on her feet, thoughts feuding on whether to continue or not. But then she made her choice

“No turning back…”

She brushed off the dust, tightened her bow, and continued on with her journey which seemed to be a mission of risk. She closed her eyes for a minute or two, then she opened up and began to start this never ending journey.
