"Your mom told me to not let you play games, so...take me out!" I said with enthusiasm as he shook his head.
"Are you seriously gonna follow my mom's orders? Are you my guardian or my caretaker?" He looked at me with a bored face.
"B-but, I want to go out to explore...pleaseeee!" I begged but it came out in a cute way.
"Aiya, stop acting cute! Fine fine, I'll take you there!" He said in a annoyed tone.
"I should really use this tatic more if I want him to listen to me.." I thought to myself as I chuckled slightly.
I dragged Damien out of his room and waved goodbye to Aunt Jasmine.
"Bye Auntie!" I said as she winked at me and I giggled, knowing that I completed her task.
Now currently, we were out of Damien's HDB flat. He pointed at my flat, which was just right next door.
"That's your house, right?" My eyes widened, how did he know where my flat was?
"It's just common sense...as a guardian, you're supposed to live near me, not like 20 meters away from me..." he laughed as I grinned.
"You're a smart meanie." I smirked as he brought me to a park.
"This is the park that I would always go to, just to relax, ya know?" I nodded as I looked at the playground nearby.
I decided to walk towards the playground and I saw a swing. Surprisingly, there was no one, so I sat on the swings and began swinging it by myself.
Unknowingly, Damien joins me too, swinging higher than me. I closed my eyes, the wind blows my skirt up, but not too high to ride up above my upper thigh.
I immediately felt like a child all over again, even though I'm 15. Suddenly, I felt the swing stop. I opened my eyes and I saw Damien holding the swing's metal strap.
I immediately stood up and looked at him. "Hey, your skirt is riding up higher than I thought..." he said, a little embarassed.
"Hey, don't you know how dangerous it is to hold onto the swing when a person is on it?! I could accidentally kick you!" I said, checking to see whether he had any scratches or injuries.
"Don't you care about your skirt?" He whispered, not wanting to cause a scene. I did feel embarassed, but my priority was him.
"It's fine, Damien. My priority is you. I'm supposed to take care of you." He said as I walked away.
"B-But...I don't want people to see that..." he muttered, thinking that I wasn't able to hear what he said. I giggled and said nothing, pretending I didn't hear him.
Maybe he isn't that mean after all...I decided to ask him about school.
"So how's school going?" I asked as he rolled his eyes, and it looked like he hated school.
"You don't want to know about school, trust me. All the curriculums sibei hard leh, its unbelivable!" He said, in singlish.
"I studied your curriculum just yesterday, and it was a piece of cake!" I said, exxagerating a little.
"That's because you aren't a human..." he whispered in my ear again. I just shrugged and continued walking around the park.
"Let's go somewhere else...what about-" I said as Damien interrupted me.
"Oh, I know! Let's go home!" He said as I pulled him into a nearby mall that I saw. He was hesitant at first, but he agreed anyway.
Now we were walking around the isles of the mall, also known as Tampines Mall. Luckily I had some cash with me in my bag. I bought me and Damien ice-cream.
"Here, have your ice cream." I said as he took his ice cream cone and thanked me.
"Hey, you're learning alot about here, right?" Damien said as I nodded.
"Yeah, and I'm going to the same school by the way." I said while licking the ice cream.
"That's cool, not like I care haha." He said as I raised a eyebrow.
"You sure about that?" I teased. He nodded and finished his ice cream. And just like that, we went home talking and finding things that we have in common.
And soon, we reached our block. We took the elevator and said our goodbyes. Hanging out with Damien wasn't as bad as I thought it was.
I showered and changed into my pyjamas, heading to the bedroom to sleep.
