Chapter 12.

*Stacie's POV*

Today was the day. I thought as I lay in my bed with silk sheets covering my body. I was going to finally ask Aubrey the one I had a crush on since I joined the Bellas. I was going to ask her on a date to the cinema. I rolled over to look over at the clock. It read: 6:34 AM, I just couldn't sleep as the excitement coursed through my body. I hated waking up earlier than the rest of the Bella house because I would have to be extra quiet and try not to wake everyone up. But not this morning there was a racket coming from somewhere in the house. I decided to crawl out of bed and go investigate.

I silently inch my way out of the warm bedroom to the chilly stairs that spiral down into the lounge. I start making my way down the stairs with every step a small sound coming from the steps. I turn the corner to see curly locks of ginger hanging over the kitchen counter.

"Chloe, what are you doing?" I gently questioned, considering the time. The ginger turned around with a shock on her face. "I didn't know you were up as well, sorry I was loud".

"no, it's alright. I was awake anyway and if I tried I was too excited," I explained to the redhead. "About what?" As she questioned my comment.

"Nothing, you would want to know about" winking after the comment I made. The face Chloe made after the comment was the funniest thing I had ever seen. I made myself a nice steaming hot cup of coffee and sat on the blackish couch we owned. I placed my favourite movie Dirty Dancing on the Television when I heard Chloe whisper in my ear "I'm going back to bed, don't wake anyone up and Good luck with whatever you've got going on!"

*Several hours have passed*

I was curled up watching the end of my favourite movie, Dirty Dancing. When I was interrupted by Chloe again tumbling down the stairs looking like she was drugged (which she wasn't). checking the time on my phone, I realise 2 hours have passed all spent watching a movie.

I start tracking around to the kitchen island and start pulling out my favourite Cereal fruit pebbles. Soon enough the whole group was sitting around the table talking about boyfriends and our final things for College. I completely zoned out and soon enough someone was calling my name.

"Yeah, Yeah" I quickly agree. Now's my time to pull her aside and ask her out on a date. I quietly speak up.

"Hey Aubrey, can you come with me?" I quietly ask as the whole room goes silent. She quietly agrees with me as I drag her hand out of the living room and into the bedroom. I feel my face blush and start talking about what's going to happen. She looks up at me and asks "What's up, why are we in the bedroom?".

I nervously opened my mouth "I wanted to ask you on a date to the movies but if you don't want to then that's fine with me".

"No, I want to do this with you, see you at 7 pm" she exclaims with the biggest smile on her face. I agree with her and watch as she walks out of the room.

---------------------------------------*Later in the day* --------------------------------------------

My best friend who has known me, since I joined the Bella's is now taking me out on a date to the movies. Thinking about it now I honestly can't wait and while I think about it Chloe slides in beside me and tells me to look up towards the spiralling staircase we have in the house. I see Aubrey in the cutest light blue jumpsuit and cute brown buttons on her boots. She links her hands with mine and I can't help but smile about it.

"Ready to go?" she questions. I quickly agreed with her and felt the excitement bubble up inside me. I can't help but think about what's going to happen after the movie.

We jumped into the car and instantly started talking about everything like college, to the other girls and our interests. A good 15 minutes later we were finally there, she placed her hand in mine as we walked up to the lady and asked for 2 tickets.

As we were about to leave the cashier yelled "Have Fun Lovebirds! And you're in cinema 2". I pull open the door and hold it as Aubrey walks in. With my best friend beside me, we walked up to the furthest seats we could find. We take our seats and the lights dim just in time. I feel my eyes lock with Aubrey's soft blue eyes. I gently lean in to kiss her and feel her soft pale lips lock with mine.

*After the film finishes*

We cuddle in the cold waiting for the taxi to pull up and take us back to the house. The taxi arrives and we slide in staring into each other's eyes the whole ride home, not paying attention to the taxi driver asking us questions about what we were doing out so late. 

The Taxi pulls up at the campus and the driver yells "Stay warm". We both thank the driver and watch as he drives away into the night. We walked huddled back to the house which wasn't far away, thank god as it was absolutely freezing. As soon as we step through the door, I feel a surge of excitement and apprehension. I reach out and grasp Aubrey's hand tightly, my fingers interlocking with hers as we make our way up the stairs. Her skin is warm and soft, and I can feel the pulse of her veins under my thumb. Finally, we reach the sanctuary of her bedroom, and I turn the lock with a decisive click.

Knowing that one thing would lead to the next...
