Note - This Chapter takes place after a 9-month time jump, I didn't really feel like writing 9 months of a pregnancy into the story.

Aubrey's POV

I sat there rubbing my baby bump that would soon be non-existent as the baby's due date was drawing closer and closer each day. I watched as every one of the girls paraded down the stairs as if it were a fashion show. I lifted my huge belly and my backside off of the cold chair I had been sitting on and slowly made my way towards the nursery Stacie, Beca, and Chloe were helping put it together for my baby's arrival.

The nursery was a gender-neutral one because I decided to keep the gender a secret until the child was born, only caring about it being healthy. The room had little grey stars on the walls and a cute crib with pillows that were soft pink and blue making it stand out just a little more. I could tell he/she was going to be spoiled because of all the Bellas in the house.

Stacie came over to me and asked if we could go shopping for the baby to buy a blanket and some outfits for the baby on the way home. We arrived at our local store and picked out a cute jumpsuit with a koala sleeping on it. We had already bought a baby wrap so I could make sure she was secure while going out and about but I wouldn't be able to use that until my baby came.

Just as we leave the store I feel water trickle down my leg and then drop onto the floor. I reach till I grab Stacie's arm so hard she looks over and says "Are you alright?".

I told her my water had broken and she needed to take me to the hospital. I think to myself that it's happening, it's really happening and I get to see my precious child. We jump back into the car and head back home to grab my hospital bag that has everything I need after this child is born. We pull up to the house and Stacie runs into the house, coming back out 5 minutes later with Chloe. Chloe hops into the car, turns to me and says, "Are we ready to have this baby?", I shake my head no in response.

I was so focused on getting the baby out of my body, that I didn't think about the patience I had leading up to this moment. My water had broken approximately 2 hours ago and I could see the darkness of the outside world through a small crack in the window of the confined room I was put in. Every time I would get a contraction a wave of pain came over me and I would try and grab onto something. I had no idea contractions would hurt this bad but I was scared about the delivery of my child.

"I can-t-t do this" I barely managed to speak while puddles of sweat dripped down my face.

"Yes you can, you're a strong woman beside you're almost there" Stacie says in a calm tone.

My eyes met Stacie's and it was like the first moment I saw her at college Auditions. Stacie leaned in even closer and that little peck on the cheek was something that I craved daily when we were together.

Before Stacie could do anything, the door to my room opens again and walks to the doctor.

"Okay Aubrey" the doctor's voice cuts into your thoughts. "How's the contractions going?"

"Do you mind if I take a look?" he asks respectfully, stepping towards the edge of the blanket. I feel uncomfortable while nodding slowly as I always do every time one of 3 people treating you looks underneath the blanket. It was professional for them but you got awkward.

"Wow" he states "You're moving along quickly. I think it's time to go to the delivery room."

My eyes widen as I say "Wait seriously?"

He nods, looking up finally. "Well, you are ten centimetres dilated"

The contractions feel like a sharp shooting pain through the stomach. There's plenty of screaming and panting involved. To me, the pain resembled a watermelon being pushed through a circle the size of a lemon. As we were wheeled out of my private room with Stacie following along we were going to have this child.

After a whole lot of screaming, pushing and crying the doctor said "I can see a head, you're almost there"

I prepare myself to bear down and push once again hoping that this birth will finally be over. Stacie couldn't contain her excitement and I couldn't help but smile at that.

I couldn't help but gawk at the sight of our little girl. She was here, she was finally here. My voice suddenly became quiet as she was placed into my arms and I could feel myself start to cry. She was the cutest baby. Her tears slowly disappear as I rock her back and forth. I watched as she wrapped her tiny fingers around my thumbs, my tears softly hitting her blanket.

I couldn't believe this tiny human was finally in our lives.

She was Kayleigh Conrad-Posen!
