there always seemed to be something or another going on at school. this person hooked up with that person, this one did this on the weekend and spent the night in a cell, this one confessed their undying love, while drunk, and now can't face anyone.
there was just always something and i had gotten into the swing of listening to everyone's hushed conversations in the classrooms to find out. either that, or my friend jess would have found out a version of any story by lunch that she couldn't wait to tell the rest of our group.
i wasn't one of those cool people who ditched school, even though i hated being there. i was an average, b grade student who just didn't enjoy the social part of school. i thought the nerdy people were uncool and the populars too stuck up for their own good.
so you can imagine my glee when, sitting in my chosen subject of i.t, the message to go to your e-mails was being whispered around the classroom and i do just that.
messaged from 'theexfiles@hotmail.co.uk' was a link. curiously, i clicked on it. we didn't often get e-mails through the school domain and the fact that this had been sent to everyone had me immediately interested.
loaded in front of me was a screen with the words 'the ex files' written across the top. the 'ex' was in bold red compared to the plain white on the black backround and i could tell whatever this was, was going to be interesting.
there was two blog posts and nothing else on the page. one titled ex numero one - brianna edwards and the other entitled hello there!
i could heard the laughter from people around me as they finished reading and, not wanting to be left out of the loop, i read too. it was easy to find myself laughing along knowing brianna personally.
tom, a boy i had sat next to for a couple of years of i.t turned to me, a grin on his face as saw that my screen was the same as his.
"who do you think did it?" he let out a laugh and i laughed with him, shrugged.
"i don't know but i want to."
the teacher stood up then, obviously annoyed by our laughter and chatter as he screeched at us to be quiet. most of us managed to calm ourselves down with only the occasional giggle here and there and i couldn't wait to see if anyone else in the school had found it.
this is only short bc it's the start but if you click the external link (or type in theexfilesblog on tumblr) i think you'll laugh.
i feel like it could be fun so idk don't judge me when you find it.
