My Chance
I don't like this song because I think it's extremely beautiful (there are many songs I like better tbh). I like it because it kind of reminds me of my later childhood. It's the theme of the first teenage series I really have watched and I loved it so much! I still love it! And every time I hear this song it reminds me of sitting in front of the TV at 20:10 and watching Dance Academy.
It tought me a lot of things to be honest and it kind of changed me, I mean I was about 11 years anderen I didn't know much about the world. And Dance Academy showed me love and relationships (I still haven't had a boyfriend in my life ... hugh). And it showed me that friendships can break, that people can drift apart and find together again. It also showed me that the people you love most could die in every moment and you have to deal with the world like it is. I understood that there can be things like eating disorders and serious injuries that can change your life forever. That there are fatalities. And that you can overcome everything with a little help from your friends and lovers... Now I've watched it that often - I can memorize text passages, I know anything about that series and I still love it.
I even wanted to start dancing for a long time.
And most important - it tought me to follow your dreams and to fight for what you love, no matter what others say...
