'Lady y/n!', your butler William called out.
'Yes William?', you answered, looking up from your 18th century dark oak desk.
Everything in your mansion was furnished elegantly.
You rather enjoyed the large and echoey mansion.
You had a very comfortable living situation, you were not poor.
You had made your own fortune through your work.
You descended down the staircase as William whispered is his rich English accent that you had visitors.
You yourself had a rather English accent given the fact you had lived in England since you were nine, which was when your parents died, after they died you had been sent to boarding school and you had loved England so much that you never left.
Of course you had travelled all around the globe, but England was always home for you.
'How can I help you gentlemen?', you said, your high heels clattering on the ground as you brusquely walked towards them.
The two men stood in your enormous foyer, with its grand wooden staircase and frilly drapes.
You hair was slightly curled and perfectly framed your face.
You're quite stunning.
'Lady y/n', one man said kissing your outstretched hand.
The other man followed in suit.
'Tea?', you asked, indicating for William to prepare some tea for you all.
Once you were all settled in the dining room, you began to talk.
'Could you please introduce yourselves?', you asked, getting impatient.
'My apologies ma'am, my name is Agent Marcus Jones and this is Agent Josh Phillips, we are from the SSR and we have an urgent message from Chief Thompson', he said avoiding your piercing gaze, you often made people uncomfortable with your non-wavering attention.
'What is this urgent message from Chief Thompson?', you asked, in a mocking tone.
'The SSR would like to personally employ you to work on our cases with some of our best agent's', Agent Jones said, sipping his tea.
'Why now?', you asked, curious as to why the sudden interest in your work.
'Well um... We are short staffed in scientists and we need more men', he looked nervous.
'Ahh, I see. You need men, but you don't have any choice but to hire a woman. Well gentlemen as honoured as I am to be given this opportunity to assist the SSR, I'm afraid I don't do second best, William will escort you out'.
You poured yourself some more tea as the men left the room.
William was giving you a look that said how-do-you-know-you-don't-like-it-if-you've-never-tried-it?.
You groaned and called out to the men, telling them to alert their Chief that you would be arriving in New York in three days.
You glared at William as he closed the door behind them.
'Its going to be awful', you said, childishly.
'Whatever you say Miss l/n, William said, smiling as he went to refill the tea.
