Gon was going to his own stall to sell fruits and vegetables. "Damn it. Don't have enough ingredients to make bread" Gon sighed heavily as he picked through his empty pocket.

A new customer went up and asked him "Do you still have some bread?" She kindly asked him. "Yeah, sorry. I'm out today" he nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "I understand" she nodded. "How about I get 1 pound of potatoes, and 2 pounds of Avocados?" "Okay! Got it" Gon put some Poatatos on the scale and measures it; it saying a exactly 1 pounds. Soon after Gon puts the potatoes in a plastic bag and tied it. He did the same with the avocados. "Ma'am, that would be $4.03" he smiled lightly. "Okay, young man" the elderly women said, and handing him $5.00. Gon gave her $0.97 cents in change. "Thank you" she nodded, and waved him goodbye, Gon did the same back.

After minutes went by, which feels like forever in this hot temperature. He better be praying not to dehydrate from the intense heat. Then he quickly wipes away his sweat from his forehead, and He fanned himself, desperately trying to cool off.

He heard footsteps coming toward him, which he assume is another customer.
But instead, he saw Blonde hair, easily sticking out from the crowd. His honey colored eyes met with the other.

"Kurapika!" He wagged his tail, happily seeing him. "Hey Gon, how are you doing?" He asked him with concern, "Never better, you Kurapika?". "I'm great, so about yesterday.." he shyly spoke, fidgeting with the basket he was carrying. Gon tilted his head, wondering what he would say next. "Thank you Gon, I really appreciate what you did. For what I know, Leorio could have been arrested" the grayish-teal eye boy bowed in respect. Gon ears perked up from the sudden action, but his ears was quickened to relax. His tail swaying ups and downs. "A-ah, Kurapika, it all right" He replied, stuttering a bit.

Kurapika handed Gon the basket full of coconuts. "Coconuts?! Isn't it hard to get this type of fruit?" Gon was surprise, and almost let out a scream. Kurapika chuckled nervously.

Coconut are from a different land, the only way he could leave the land..is with a business card, or you could buy it for a large amount of money. He thought, eyeing Kurapika down.

Kurapika noticed, a sweat drop down from his face. Gon decided not to question him, since he seem stiff and very nervous.

"Thank you Kurapika.. Thank you!" Gon eyes lit up, grateful for what he have received. This feeling feels fimliar to Gon, as if Kurapika was like his second friend. He was so caring and gentle, maybe even better then a mother-figure.

Kurapika patted Gon's head, only letting out a small giggled. "It's no problem. If you have any troubles, come to me"

"Then can you be my friend Kurapika?!" He looks up with Kurapika with such cute puppy eyes, Kurapika couldn't say no. "Why of course Gon"

Is this what it feels like to have friends? But..this feeling is different with Killua.
It seems like his heart beats faster only with Killua around. Why is that?

"I have to get going" hearing this made Gon slightly frown. "Hm, okay Kurapika, hope to see you soon!" He calls out to Kurapika before he leaves.

After a solid 5 hours, he earned $81.09. Gon smiled to himself, it's unusual for him to make such large amount of cash. He soon drop the smile, as he sees the left-over fruits and vegetables.

Such a waste, but I could use sell it tomorrow before it rots. Or.. perhaps eat it, Gon daydream now much food he was going to eat. But reality hits him, since he needs to earn money to pay rent.

He hummed on his way home, carrying a basket and bags of vegetables and fruits. Along with the gift from Kurapika.

Tomorrow is the day.

Gon woke up 7:30Am, why did I overslept?! Today is the day I'm meeting up with Killua. Gon hurried and did his morning routine, skipping breakfast to save time, and for the first time, he "neatly" did his hair.
He wore a button up shirt and some black-short pants. Why is Gon being so fancy? Gon just feels like impressing Killua for some odd reason, missing his presence for a week.

Running out, then coming back to his little cottage getting his shoes. Why am I being so nervous now?

Gon ran past his cottage and into the forest. Pasting each trees, one caught his eyes. The tallest among the tree, knowing he is almost there, he closes his eyes tightly. I hope I'm not late, Gon but her lips.

Reaching there after minutes, he catches his breath. Killua is not here so he climbed up to his special spot and hope to see Killua from afar. His gaze landed on many villagers, but non have his fluffy, shivered hair.

After minutes pasted, Gon climbed down, thinking is he late or I'm early? He begins to question himself, only making it more confusing.

Finally he saw a boy with the beautiful blue eyes and shiver hair flow through the wind as if it's in sync.

"Killua!" He shouted. "Yo Gon, sorry I'm late" he replied, but his eyes wonder somewhere eyes, Killua would often checked around his
surroundings.

"Is anything wrong Killua?" Gon asked him in a worried tone. "..Nah, everything is fine" Killua forced a smile, and sat down near the river. Gon sat along with him, still worried, but didn't push his button.

Killua turned around quickly, scanning the area, then averted back to the river. He sighed in relief.

He picked up a small rock, and threw it in the river. They sat in peace, but something is off. Gon looks at Killua depressing face. Definitely off, Gon thought.

Killua picked up another rock, this time he clutched onto it hard, before throwing back into the river.

After days of meeting up, Killua seems to get more sadden. Gon also notice visible bruises and other clean cuts. After days, no weeks of begging Killua to tell him what's wrong.

Finally, finally, Killua opened up. "Gon.." Killua bits his lips. His sad tone, didn't surprise Gon Anymore, and way the his ears and tail is always flopped down, it breaks his heart.

"I'm having family issues, and I don't know what to do. Ugh, I wish it can all go away" Killia swallows, and laugh non-stop. Just how much pain is he in if he's forcing a laugh? Gon frowns deeply. "I just can't deal with this.." Killua hugs his knees, but still made eye contact with Gon.

Gon felt like the world shattered. No, scratch that. It was like the world was against Killua itself. Small tears form into Killua eyes. Gon just had to hug him, as Killua heard Gon sobbing even harder then he already is. "Sorry for making this hard on you.." Killua said, and for the first time, Killua felt sorry for someone, besides his sister of course. "No, it's alright". Silence stood upon them. Neither spoke. Just there holding onto each other like their life depends on it.

"Gon, what makes you happy?" Killua question Gon. "Well.. seeing Aunt Mito and grandma.. and you too.." Killua slightly smirked, but then stopped when Gon asked him the same thing too.

"I don't know anymore.." Killua voice cracked up mid sentence. Silence again.

Then Gon spoke with such determination "Then.. let me show you happiness". Gon stood up, and pulled out his hand.

"Runaway with me"

Killua stood there in amazement, shocked. He reached Gon's hands, desperately, just like how he needs air.
He smirked, only thinking...

You are light, sometimes you shine so brightly I must look away.

Even so..
Is it okay for me to stay with you?
