To Lose Someone

        The most unexpected happened. It was a weekend, close to the afternoon, and the portal opened above me while I was happily reading a book.

        "Gaara!" I yelled down the hall. He had wanted to eat lunch so he went down to fix himself a sandwich.

        He stepped into the room to see what the commotion was about, and he looked to what I was ponting to to see the portal that led back to his home.

        "Its finally here." He said quietly. "This is your only chance Gaara. You have to go back." I ushered him forward.

        "But. What about you?" He asked with a hint of sadness. "Would you like to come with me?" He held his hand out to me with a small smile.

        "I have to find Sora first, so she can finally get away from that horrible thing. She can start over. I'll be right back!" I ran out of the house and went quickly to Sora's house.

        When I walked up to it I heard yelling inside and things breaking. "Trying to escape...are you?" My eyes widened.

        That voice, the one Sora and I despised every second of the day. The one that keeps inflicting pain on my friend, giving her fresh bruised every other day.

        I rang the doorbell a million times a second, trying to at least stop what he was going to do to her.

        He opened the door ang glared at me. I glared back and looked behind him to see Sora going out the kitchen window, locking it before closing it behind her.

        She's had enough of him too, hasen't she? Well. She's starting her escape plan. Might as well help her out.

        "What are you doing here." He asked me with hate filling every inch of his voice. "I came to see if my friend is alright. I can't trust her with the likes of you."

        His glare hardened as he tried to land a punch on me. I jumped back and taunted him. Even if I knew what I was getting myself into, I was going to do it anyway.

        He tried to kick me and hit me and event throw stuff from his house at me. Once I knew Sora had made it far enough for him to not track her.

        I stuck my tongue out at him and left. He cursed a lot of words at me and walked inside slamming the door shut.

        Then I heard yelling where he was searching the house for Sora, but she was long gone by now, and so was I.

        I ran back home and locked every entrance into the house before ruuning into my room. Gaara was still there all packed and ready.

        "Where's Sora?" He asked with concern. "She finally made her escape from that thing." I told him while grabbing my stuff as well.

        "I have a feeling I'll meet her in the other world, so I'm not much worried. She's a very smart girl. If it wasn't her pocky making her go crazy."

        He nodded and I followed him through the ceiling, don't know how he did it. He boosted me up first before following me.

        When I opened my eyes I saw the ocean....below me..... I saw a cliff a couple meters in front of me, with something that resembled a deer standing at the edge with what seemed like hunters coming after it.

        For a split second my mind told me that it was Sora in a deer costume, but that just sounds crazy, but she is a weird person so it could of happened.

        Gaara held onto my hand as we fell straight down into the roaring seas below. The deer tripped and fell after us.

        After the harsh impact I opened my eyes to see a different world below me.

        The ocean.

        The water.

        It was the true portal.
