JIN'S POV"So about Eunha..."
Jungkook's eyes widen when I said the name. He puts down his utensils and clears his throat.
"What about her?" He asks and judging by the tone of his voice, he was very uneasy.
How could a girl from his "dreams" affect him this much?
"Tell me everything about her... I know that she's the reason why you're acting like this and I have a feeling that..." I paused, rethinking my choice of words.
"That what, hyung?" He seemed to be a little bit annoyed already so I skip to the point.
"I have a feeling that there's something you're not telling me..."
Jungkook paused and stared at the ground before finally looking at me in the eye. "Do you really want to know?"
"Of course... I've been worried about you for days Jungkook. I want to help you but I don't know ho—"
"Hyung, remember that sketchpad the stranger gave me on my birthday?"
Sketchpad...?
"Yeah, I think so. Why?"
"That's where it all started."
I got goosebumps as he said that. Does it mean that there's more to this story than we know? What started?
"What do you mean?"
"Eunha... I really believe that she's not just a girl from my dreams. Everything that happened seemed too real to just me a dream." He says as he stares blankly into space.
I furrowed my eyebrows in disbelief. "Huh? You're making me confused, Jungkook."
"I'm confused myself hyung! If it wasn't for that stupid sketchpad, none of this wouldn't even have happened!" Jungkook yells as he buries his face in his hands.
"Eunha was a girl I drew on that sketchpad. I actually had no intention of drawing anything but when I did, it felt as if my hand was moving on its own and I had completely no control of my body whatsoever." He continued.
"I heard voices of the same girl everywhere I m went for days. And then, the impossible happened. It's all up to you whether or not you'll believe me..." he paused and looked at me in the eye once more.
"She became a real person."
My eyes widen at his confession. His statements seem too convincing to be just made up. His eyes says it all. It was the truth. And it scared me.
"I remember that time, I wished that all of it wasn't real, that all of it was just a dream... But honestly, I regret saying those words. I hurt Eunha. I never got to apologize to her." He smiled bitterly.
"Jungkook, I don't know what to say but I'm willing to help you." I said to him, hoping that I could make him feel better. "I have no idea how but I really do believe that what you're saying is true..."
Jungkook shook his head. "You don't need to help me hyung. Even I don't know how to help myself..." he said as he placed his utensils on the plate.
"I'm going back to my room. Thank you for the food, Jin hyung. And thank you for listening to me."
Jungkook turns his back and walks upstairs to his room. I sighed and cleaned up the table.
"Jin..." a soft voice says from behind me. I didn't bother to turn around as I was washing the dishes.
"Hmm?" I replied. Two gentle arms embraced me from behind and I could immediately tell who it was from the sweet vanilla scent that surrounded the room.
Sowon. A smile made its way to my lips and my mood started to lighten again.
"How did it go?" she asks.
"Better than I expected. I'll tell you everything later..." I said and turned to kiss her forehead.
"Alright... I'll be waiting in the living room, okay?" she says, her scent slowly fading as she leaves the kitchen.
-?- POV
"Thank you, Auntie..." I said, taking the bouquet of roses from her hands. "You're the best!"
"No need to thank me, dear. Anything for my favourite customer!" She replied, her eye smile evident. I exit the store and went on my way.
Today was the day I was supposed to confess my feelings for the girl I loved. Too bad she doesn't love me back.
As long as she's happy, I'm happy too.
As I made my way to the bus station, I got a call from my good friend, Seokjin.
He tells me some things that didn't really make sense and I didn't pay that much attention anymore.
"Hey, hyung... I'm kind of busy right now. I'll just call you back later, okay?" I said, ready to hang up.
"Wait! Is there any chance, you know someone named Kim Myunghwa?"
My eyes widen in shock.
How does he know...?
"Why?" I asked.
"If you do, I need you to come here right now."
I hang up and as I did, the bus arrives. I get on and leave the bouquet on the seat at the very back before getting out. The bus driver eyed me weirdly and so did the other passengers.
I sighed and placed my hands in my pockets, walking away from that place.
I hope I don't regret this.
