Leonie's POV:
As I woke up, I picked my phone up and turned off the alarm. I finished unpacking the last bits as Dylan and James slept and then started making breakfast. When I finished I woke them up and told them it was ready. I grabbed my car keys and said, "I'm going to the airport to get Tom and bring him back here. If you can, when you're finished, wash the dishes and straighten up a bit, please. Dylan nodded and I waved bye before heading to the airport. When I got there I stood outside the car and rested against it. I got out my phone and started looking at my Snapchat and Instagram. After a few minutes, I saw Tom coming out of the airport and smiled, waving for him to see me. He smiled and I ran up to hug him. I smiled and pecked him on the cheek before grabbing his suitcase and putting it in the trunk. He got in the passenger side and I got in the driver's side and started driving back to our apartment. When we got there, he grabbed his suitcase out and I showed him to the door and unlocked it before leading him into the living room. Dylan and James were sitting on the couch and I stood in front of them with Tom next to me. I pointed at them and said, "Tom this is Dylan and James, James and Dylan meet Tom." I pointed to each of them as I said their names. Tom smiled and nodded at both of them and they nodded back. I clasped my hands together and said, "Ok now that you know each other, how about we go to Jitters. I need coffee." They laughed but nodded and we all filed into my car before setting off. When we got to Jitters, they headed to a table in the back and I stood in line to order coffee. When I got to the front of the line I ordered all of our coffee's and headed to our table. I sat down next to Tom and we held hands as we drank our coffee and talked. After about 30 minutes, Dylan looked around and seemed surprised and said, "Hey Leonie can I talk to you real quick. Over there." He pointed behind him in a little doorway. I nodded and followed him to the little area. He stood to where he was facing the room and I had my back facing it. He sighed before saying, "Ok so I know your all happy with Tom but I thought I should warn you so he didn't ask questions that Barry just walked in." I gasped before turning around and seeing him standing in line. I felt my heart skip a beat and felt my mind start racing. The way the golden light from outside landed on his face and made his eyes 100 times brighter. I knew I couldn't see him after the letter I wrote to him. I looked back at Dylan and said, "Ok so I am going to the bathroom. Tell them I will be out in a few minutes and to just wait outside. Then text me when he leaves. OK?" Dylan nodded with no questions asked because he knew what happened. I ran to the bathroom and waited in one of the stalls. After about 15 minutes, Dylan texted me and said that Barry was now sitting at a table but I should be able to sneak out the back. I replied with an ok and headed out of the bathroom. As I was heading out the back door I heard someone call my name. Out of habit I turned around and saw Barry staring at me with wide eyes. I panicked and turned back around before running out. I felt a rush of wind and knew he would be outside, waiting. I stopped running when I got out the door and saw him in the alleyway and sighed before going out. He looked at me as I stopped in front of him and said, "You look great. I men for being away for 3 years." I nodded and said, "Well thanks. It was kinda difficult adjusting but I had my sister there." He looked down and said, "You never answered my calls. Or texts. You just disappeared from my life after the letter. Did you mean what you said in it? About me and Iris? About being in love with me?" I sighed before looking at him and saying, "Yes. I meant what I said. About Iris and being in love with you. But I have a boyfriend now and I'm happy. You were the first person I ever fell in love with and I always will love you but you have to understand. I have finally moved on. After 2 years I moved on and seeing you now is not helping. I still want to be friends if it's possible but I just can't. Besides your with Iris now." He looked surprised at the last statement so I said, "When you asked me about the whole Iris and loving you thing, you made sure to include Iris. I figured you made a move and it paid off." I shrugged before walking towards the front where they were waiting for me. Right before I could get away he said, "Do you think you'd ever love me again?" I sighed and said, "Maybe." And with that, I continued walking back to where Tom, Dylan, and James were.
Author's Note:
Sorry about the long chapter. I was working on it all day and kept having to leave for shopping and other things. I got lost in the writing and this story is probably everywhere. Truth is I have no idea for the plot. I just write and see where it takes me.
