Chapter 5 – A Rescue Mission

The Witch Tanya entered the dark, gloomy, dim, unilluminated, sunless, pitch-dark, jaunty, sketchy, fishy-looking room at the center of FBI Headquarters, a low hum of computer systems hummed in the background as she walked across the cold floor to the center of the room. She knelt on the red 'x' in the middle and awaited her orders. "Agent T" a booming voice filled the room, "Your mission to capture the principal has succeeded, you have done well." Tanya smiled, feeling validated again from her master's appraisal of her. "I take it the necessary precautions have been made to make sure the others' capture goes smoothly?" her almighty lord asked with a soft eerie voice that reminded Tanya of a conniving conman. "We will get them," she slowly raised an eggplant from her left hand as a devious smile crept along her face.

Black was at the rendezvous point at the abandoned warehouse on fifth street. He was leaning on the car eating a whole pickle when Rathdome arrived in his bentley. "We need to finish it today Wayne. Despite what may have happened in the past, we are still brothers." Black gave Rathdome the firmest handshake he had ever given, no wet fish here. Rathdome's dome was smooth and dry today, a different look from his usual sweaty moist one, and Black was slightly aroused by it. "Today." Rathdome said quietly as Stapleton flew in on his military drone. The empty warehouse had previously been used for deadly eggplant weaponry production, so it was the perfect place to prepare for the attack. Big purple boxes with the faded words 'WARNING' were scattered about like um. Err. Uh. Something that is scattered about I don't know. Anyway, they loaded the truck full of the most dangerous weapons they could scavenge from the warehouse factory line and got in. Inside each of their packs was a box of eggplant pills, in case they got captured. With everything set, they drove out of the warehouse through a large blue door and continued into the city. When traffic got too dense Rathdome would lean out the window and clear a path by firing a laser beam at the cars in front. There were screams and one man even got out and begged for his filthy life, but Rathdome just stared at him for a good 30 seconds and eventually roasted him like hot juicy beef. They eventually arrived at the city center, a gigantic clear skyscraper stood before them as if touching the sky itself.

Scotty was posing as a businessman in a suit and holding a black briefcase at the base of the FBI building. His heart was pounding out of his chest. The order hadn't done something this big since Vietnam, but he suppressed that thought before the flashbacks started back up. He was seated on a concrete bench and was really missing the comfortable wooden hall seats at the school, they cared for people's butts, they made those butts feel welcome in their domain. Scotty reckoned that if the benches at Boys High were alive, they would personally give each and every person who sat on them a rump massage to relieve the pain of everyday life. Then through the busy crowds of the street, Scotty saw the van the others were arriving in. He stood up and walked over to the curb to meet the completely inconspicuous purple van with a giant eggplant on the side when it pulled over. Absolutely no one at all cast any stray glance in their direction as Rathdome, Black, and Stapleton emerged from the van wearing dark purple uniforms and eggplant shaped hats. No one at all. Nope. Eggplant launchers in hand they handed Scotty some special tools that would help them later. He put them in his briefcase and continued into the building on his own before the others. The foyer was tidy, with neat wooden desks at the front of the room and concise lines of people leading to them. Scotty got in line and waited for the signal, while waiting he pulled out a delicious scrumptious Snickers™ bar. Because you're not you when you're hungry. Anyway, the rest of the order entered through the glass doors into the FBI foyer with gas masks on and pulled out a smoke grenade. Weed smoke emanated through the foyer and the crowd fell to the floor as the Order moved in towards the front desks launchers held high. Being the FBI headquarters, it was well guarded, and an agent in a gas mask was on the scene quickly. He held the second deadliest handheld weapon known to man, a yam. As he moved through the gas towards Stapleton, Black and Rathdome, Scotty put on his gas mask and moved closer. He didn't get close enough to be seen by the guard giving him the upper hand. Black's voice suddenly sounded through Scotty's earpiece, "now Bruce." The guard was pointing a gun at the three, Scotty swiftly pulled a sharpened eggplant from his briefcase and buried it deep into the guard's neck. They quickly hurried on before reinforcements arrived and charged into the elevator at the back of the room. The elevator doors closed, and some sultry, quite mundane elevator music filled the silence between them. Scotty recognized this song from 'The Eric Andre Show' but before he could give it more thought Black clicked a button on the elevator panel and a 'clunk' was heard as they began to go up. "When we get up there Bruce, you run out and yell random stuff to distract them, ok?" Stapleton's voice was firm and as he disabled the security cameras in the elevator, Brighticus Domicus took off his eggplant hat and knelt in front of the elevator door, his dome pointed at the door. Scotty already knew their plan, they were going to blast their way to Berty. "Coming up on the detention block level" Stapleton said as he stood back up and raised his eggplant launcher. For a moment, it was as if time had completely stopped. The anticipation for the door to open was immense and Scotty noticed Rathdome's beginning to glow white. A shrill 'ding' sounded, and the doors opened to reveal not a set of cell blocks, but a pitch-black darkness. Stapleton was confused, "what? Are you prying my fruit? I swear this was detention block." He checked the panel again. A slow clap echoed through the darkness toward them, a figure appeared as a spotlight lit up above it. It was the Witch. One of the most powerful enemies they had ever faced. Black spoke in a confused tone, "Tanya, we thought you were dead." Tanya stepped forward with a steely smug look on her face; "I thought so too, until he saved me." Black's voice was tinged with a hint of despair, like he knew what she was about to say. The third cosmic being stepped out from the darkness, his bushy moustache glistening in the light, White.
