"You don't have practice tonight right?" Nadia plopped down beside me as I lounged around our living room. It was Wednesday afternoon and I was currently waiting for Razi and Porsha to come over so we could catch up on homework. The three of us discussed it last night, but neither had yet to show up.

"No, why wassup?" I pushed my laptop aside and focused my attention on my best friend. Dressed in her solar red warm up jacket I figured she'd just got in from track conditioning.

"Eric is having game night and I figured we'd pull up." She shrugged, taking a gulp of from her Gatorade bottle.

"I'm free. I have a chapter meeting at 6, but we should be done by 7:30, so I'm down."

"He wants to start around 8, so do you want me to pick you up or what?"

"Yes come scoop me, help me save gas boo!"

"My rate is a $1 per mile." She scoffed, pushing her curls out of her face.

"You tried it." I hit her with the nearest pillow beside me.

"Bitch I'm trying to secure the bag."

"Girl bye." I dismissed her antics before noticing that something was off.

Dragging myself from the couch, I made my way down the hall to Kamryn's room. It was odd honestly, she usually woke everyone up in the morning with her music, but the last few days it had been strikingly quiet.

Opening her bedroom door I somewhat expected her to be bundled up beneath her blankets editing film,  but everything looked untouched and not a thing out of place.

"The hell." I looked over the room one last time before shutting the door behind me.

"Have you seen Kam?" I asked once I was close enough for Nadi to hear me.
