"Baby wake up." My eyes fluttered open, feeling Raheem's lips press lightly against my cheek.

"Good Morning." I smiled brightly, taking in the display before me. Sitting up fully, my body seem to drown in a sea of yellow roses and gold confetti filled balloons. At the foot of the bed sat a flute of champagne, pancakes, eggs, and turkey sausage links plated perfectly on a gold porcelain tray.

"Baby, you didn't have to do all this." I blushed reading the gold balloons that read 'Congrats Grad' floating near the door.

"My woman is a double major and graduating summa cum laude today, fuck you mean? You deserve all of this and more, today is your day baby!" He bent down and kissed me softly, a wide grin on his face.

"Thank you Rah, I really do love it."

"Of course, eat and come out when you're done bae." He looked me over slowly before backing out the door.

Taking a sip of the champagne, my phone rang - revealing Razi FaceTiming me.

"IT'S THE BIG FUCKING DAY!" Razi's voice filled my bedroom.

If there was anyone I was proud of it was Razir. I knew the last year had been particularly rough on him and I couldn't stop my smile from growing knowing that he pushed through. Reminiscing on the countless nights he vented to me, contemplating on dropping out and the fear he held in disappointing his family. Yet here he was, graduating today with a Bachelors of Science in Finance.

"I'm so proud of you best friend!" I told him truthfully and proudly.

"Shit I'm proud of me too, a nigga was this close to becoming a Soundcloud rapper."

"Yeah, thank God. Lord knows you would be trash."

"Alright, yeen have to play me like that now." He smacked his lips before bursting into a fit of laughter. "What time you getting to the arena, check in is at 12 right?"

"I planned on getting there around 11:45, I already know the line is going to be crazy. We're still seating together right?" I asked, taking a bite of my eggs and sausage.

Despite being in separate programs, Razi, Kam, and I planned to sit with each other since our respective colleges were being recognized together today.

"That's the plan. Imma get a nap in before I start getting ready. Congratulations best friend. I love you Sa."

"I love you too, I'll text you when I'm on the way."

"Aight bet." He nodded before the phone disconnected.

"Wow it's really been four years." I mumbled to myself. Time had really flown by, it felt like as if yesterday was freshman orientation. Here I was about to recieve my bachelor's degree as a double major in psychology and social work. Zoning out I began to think of all I've accomplished - Cheer captain, sister of Delta Sigma Theta, Student Government Vice President, and Homecoming Council Student Director of Programming, all while creating a podcast with Kam and interning under a local therapy clinic. These last four years at Clark were by no means easy, but I wouldn't trade my experience for the world. I had truly blossomed from a bratty kid to a driven young woman ready to take the world by storm. Proud was an understatement.
