Never Again

Chapter 1

Yoojin's POV

"ANDDDDD GET READYYYYY GET SETT GOOOOOOOOO!!!" shouts the host, but I only hear a blurr of his voice.

"NOONA HWAITING!!!" shouts Jihoon

"GO NOONA YOU CAN DO IT!!" adds Woojin. I can hear my family faintly cheering me on.

I've been on the national Korean track team for almost my whole life and have been going on many competitions. But todays competition was one of a kind. I worked my whole life just for this day. It was the final round of the championships and it depended on my team to get the gold medal and the $10,000 prize, which our coach really needed the money for extra supports for our team.

I would've been fine.....if only stupid Hwang Minhyun didnt leave on that day.......

~Flashback~

"GOOOOOO" the race began

I start out mediocre speed but start to slow down as tears start streaming down my cheeks.

Today was the day....my husband that I loved so much and whom I thought loved me back the same amount, went to the airport to ditch me... for another girl...

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to go. I ran off track and ignored all the comments my coach was yelling at me. Oh and did I mention, my one and only blood related family, my weak grandma, came to watch me even though she was in pain? What a wonderful granddaughter I am.

In my tracksuit I get in my car and drive to the airport. Yep just on time, I see Minhyun oppa on line.

"OPPA OPPA PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME" I cling onto his arm

"Yoojin I said I'm leaving already and its decided" he says with an annoyed and embarrassed look on his face

"IT DOESN'T MATTER! I STILL LOVE YOU DON'T YOU LOVE ME TOO?" by now, I probably look ridiculous in a tight fit tracksuit, eyes and face puffy.

Suddenly, Minhyun oppa throws a big brown envelope in my face.

"Take it" he says, avoiding my eyes

"Oppa....don't tell me this is what I'm thinking...."

"Its exactly what your thinking. My stamp is already on there. You can turn it in or rip it up for all I care. I'll just know it as the end of our relationship"

"WHOS THIS GIRL YOU'RE LEAVING ME FOR?! HOW BETTER IS SHE THAN ME?!?!" I burst out, nonstop tears flowing out of my eyes. How can my eyes even hold that much liquid....

"HAN YOOJIN I SAID TO LET GO" shouts Minhyun oppa, raising his voice as he harshly shoves my arm away, making me fall to the ground. After seeing me on the ground, he flinches.

"OPPA...HWANG MINHYUN!!"

"I--I'm..sorry Yoojin, be happy..." for a second I see a hint of sadness in his eyes but it quickly turns cold

I try to gulp away my tears but it only makes me choke on them more. I dont have energy to go back and stop him. I just let him get smaller and smaller in my eyes. Finally, for what it feels like forever, security comes and drags me out of the airport.

I wearily get in my car and continue sobbing until my phone rings with the caller ID as 'Mom💗'. I dont feel like hearing complaints or anything so I refuse to answer. But she keeps calling me, over and over until it gets to the point it's too annoying so I finally answer it. Mom doesnt even give me the chance to speak and starts off.....

"YOOJIN AH YOUR GRANDMOTHER JUST FAINTED. WE'RE IN THE HOSPITAL"

"WHAT?!?! OK I'LL BE RIGHT THERE" I forget about the airport incident and anxiously step on the pedal.

HALMUNI (GRANDMA) PLEASE BE OK. PLEASE HANG ON FOR ME.

I get to the hospital and frantically look around and see mom waving in my direction. I quickly run to the bed to see my grandma conscious but fragile.

"HALMUNI ARE YOU OK? WHAT HAPPENED?!?! I'M SO SORRY THIS IS ALL MY FAULT I SHOULDN'T HAVE LEFT I SHOULD'VE STAYED AND FINISHED THE COMPETITION SO I COULD'VE SHOWED OFF PROUDLY TO YOU" I sob in her arms

"Yoojin ahh~ its alright uljima (don't cry) halmuni was already old. Nothing is your fault araseo? (ok?)" says my grandma

"Halmuni....." my breathing gets heavier and faster. Then, the sound came. That beep....that sound that sounded like the world was going black and it was ending...

'BBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP'

"No...NO! HALMUNI...HALMUNI DON'T LEAVE ME. YOU'RE MY ONE AND ONLY BLOOD RELATED FAMILY....JEBAL....(PLEASE)"

"Yoojin.....ahh.....stay....strong..........

.......saranghae..................." she barely says the last part and forces to make a smile.....her last expression I will always remember................

I grasp her hand and cry hysterically until the doctors take her away........

Hwang Minhyun thanks for teaching me what boys make people do. They cause people to make stupid decisions... thanks to you I learned my lesson. Dont waste time on loving stupid boys but actually pay attention to the special things in life...
