Under the Stars

We would watch the stars at night.

And lay together in the grass.

You would hold me close.

And kiss my lips at night.

We were the midnight stars.

Always letting our hearts run wild.

We used to dance all night.

And you would always love me.

We would spend the day.

In the meadow until sunset.

But you were my favorite color.

And the best one to love.

You shined bright like stars.

And left me in the dark.

You said you wouldn't leave.

But the stars have now fallen.

One day you'll watch the stars.

And you would remember me.

But we would be worlds apart.

For I was another tragedy.
