Chapter 8

Zayn's P.O.V.

The drive to Nando's wasn't long at all. Only about 10 minutes. I pulled the car into the parking lot and parked considerably close to the entrance of the restaurant. Isabella let go of my hand, making it feel cold. I sighed as we both got out of the car. I walked behind Isabella and we entered the restaurant. We sat down in a booth in a corner and I out my head down low so no one would recognize me. The waiter came over, and introduced himself.

"Hi, my name is Trevor and I'll be your server this afternoon!" he said proudly, handing Isabella and I both a menu. "Can I start out by getting you both something to drink?"

"Um, I'll have an iced tea," Isabella spoke. I looked at the waiter.

"I'll have a coke, please." I watched as the waiter wrote down our orders.

"I'll be right back with those, give you a few minutes to look over your menus," Trevor said before leaving. I looked at Isabella, then out the window and I ducked down lower.

"Great..." I murmured.

"What, Zayn? What is it?" Isabella asked. I pointed out the window and she turned her head to look. A group of girls wearing 1D t shirts were standing outside of the building. Isabella slumped in her seat and a frown appeared on her face.

"I'm so sorry," I whispered.

Isabella's P.O.V.

"I'm so sorry," I heard Zayn whisper.

"Oh, don't worry... Its fine!" I faked a smile, and he could tell. Zayn frowned.

"What do you want to eat?" he asked. I scanned the menu and looked at Zayn.

"Peri Peri Chicken," I concluded. He smiled.

"Me too!" he whisper-yelled. I giggled. "Wanna just share it and get some chips?"

I nodded, "Yeah, fine with me!"

The waiter came back and placed our drinks in front of us. "Here you are. Now, are you ready to order your food?" he asked. His accent was very thick and he talked quite loud. I nodded my head at him.

"We're gonna share the Peri Peri Chicken, and can we get a large order of chips on the side?" I asked. Trevor nodded and wrote down what I said.

"That will be here shortly!" he said, then walked odd again. I looked at Zayn and panic struck his eyes. I followed his gaze to the front doors just as a group of Zayn Malik thirsty teens walked in. I gulped and leaned over our table, pushing Zayn's head down so he was hiding under the table. The girls began walking around the place and eventually came to my table. They stopped, frozen.

"Oh my gosh, girls. It's Zayn Malik's ugly new girlfriend!" a girl with long, black hair stated. I smirked at her.

"I'm not his girlfriend, sweetie," I responded.

"Well, she was still right about ONE thing..." another hissed, looking me up and down. I glared at the girls.

"Do you think being rude to every girl Zayn is around is gonna do anything for you?" I asked. The girl with black hair stared at me.

"Yeah, actually!" she yelled. I chuckled at her.

"Keep dreaming, babe," I muttered, taking a sip of my tea.

"Why are you here alone?" a shorter girl questioned. "No friends?" she added. I shrugged.

"Actually, I do have friends, thanks for your concern," I retorted. She looked at me, disgusted, and rolled her blue eyes.

"You're a pathetic bitch who wishes she was dating Zayn Malik! He only hangs out with you cause his drummer is your brother, stupid!" a red-headed girl sneered.

"Okay," I said simply. They all looked at me funny. A man came over.

"Excuse me, girls... You need to leave," he said, showing them out the door.

"BITCH!" the black haired girl screamed as she was shoved out the door. I sighed and held my head in my hands. Zayn came back up to his and looked at me.

"I'm so sorry..." he said quietly. I looked up at him, meeting his beautiful eyes.

"Don't worry about it," I said back as our food was placed on our table. I grabbed a fry and chewed on it slowly, trying not to let all these rude 'fans' get to me.

"Are you alright, babe?" Zayn asked, sipping some if his Coke. I nodded my head yes and half-smiled. I placed my hand down in the table and traced the drawings on it with my pinkie. I could feel Zayn's stare burning into my forehead. I shot my head up.

"What?!" I wailed. He was taken back by my sudden outburst and my cheeks turned red when I realized people were staring. I looked down at my lap. "I'm sorry Zayn..." I whispered. He didn't reply, so we ate our food in silence.

We got back into Zayn's car and he began driving back to my house. I stared out the window, not saying anything, and he didn't either. I frowned to myself, but didn't let Zayn see it. Out if the corner of my eye, I saw his hand move to the stereo in between us and he turned it on. 'Want U Back' by Cher Lloyd boomed through the speakers. Zayn nodded his head and drummed his fingers on the steering wheel along to the beat of the song. He began singing, as well. I turned my head to look at him and smiled. He glanced over at me and smirked.

"What?" he asked, looking back at the road ahead.

"It's just... You have a great voice," I said. I watched a smile appear on his face.

"Why thanks!" he chuckled. I giggled, as well and began singing.

"Boy you can say anything you wanna, I don't give a shh, no one else can have ya, I want you back, I want you back, wa-want you, want you back!"

It was Zayn's turn to look at me and smile.

"What?" I giggled.

"Now THAT was a good voice!" Zayn repeated what I had said. I blushed a lot and smirked.

We pulled up to my house and Zayn turned down the radio.

"I'm sorry about those girls today. I hope you don't believe what they said, cause you're a beautiful girl, Isabella," he spoke carefully. I looked at him in the eyes and smiled.

"Thanks, Zayn... That, um, it means a lot," I stammered. Zayn nodded. I started getting out if the car, when Zayn grabbed by arm and stopped me. I looked at him.

"Can we make one thing they said true?" he asked. Confusion was written all over my face and a smirk appeared on Zayn's face. "Isabella, be my girlfriend? Please?" I swallowed hard as Zayn leaned in and smashed his lips against mine. I put my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him closer, our lips moving in sync. I slowly pulled away, still hovering over his lips.

"Yes," I whispered. He smiled and kissed me again, wrapping me into a hug as well... I smiled into the kiss, happy with my life.
