Soulful Sinner
In his eyes I could see lust not love,
In his smile I could sense possession not commitment,
In his words I could feel only domination not respect,
And that made me shiver to the core,
As I knew his heart was never mine,
But I loved him from my soul,
I was a sinner, who was trapped in my own feelings,
Feelings of trust, care, love & respect for him.
And in return what I got was a game.
He only wanted to win over my body,
Not forever but for some pleasure,
I was dumb that I believed him when he proposed,
Little I knew his intention,
All I knew was true love exists and he was the one for me,
Call it my innocence or desperation to find true love,
Or you can blame my destiny,
That for the cost of love I paid the price,
I am a soulful sinner, on the verge of death, as living means no value to me.
Before I go away far to the stars,
I wanted to meet him one last time,
And tell what he did was a crime.
He played with emotions,
Though intentionally or unintentionally,
But he left me so empty and life less,
He did leave me but took away my heart,
What I heard was that true love never departs.
But listen you myth of love,
You know how much I begged & cried for you,
All I wanted was your love,
But you decided to never return,
Emptiness filled in my life,
I felt alone and helpless,
That pain killed me more,
And that’s the reason I decided to go,
Go so far away that even my shadows,
Don’t feel the pain of your love & Betrayal.
Little by little you keep searching for me,
I will come in your sweetest dream
To remind you that we were not meant to be
And that is what “you have told me”,
I know you will give explanations & will try to console
But by then I will be a dead soul
No words of yours will heal my pain.
No curses I will give you I swear,
Till my last breath, I kept my promise to love you forever as I said.
