Not So Different After All [On Hold]

Chapter 5

*Cece's POV*

I sat in my room with Layla and Alex. Just hanging out. It was now a Thursday.
"Cece, there's this free performing thing tomorrow. Are you still doing it?" Layla asked. The band and I were going to perform in it.
"I-I don't know..."
"You should Ce," Alex encouraged.
"But I don't have the band and all."
"Make a CD, or use your guitar," Alex said.
"What would I even sing?"
"I vote you should sing either Teardrops On My Guitar or Red, by Taylor Swift," Layla suggested.
"Yeah I guess," I replied.
"You should! You could make anything sound beautiful. You don't need the band," Alex said, pulling me into a hug.
"Thanks Alex," I replied, smiling. "You're my best friend."
"And you're mine," Alex replied.
"GROUP HUG!" Layla shouted happily, joining in on our hug. We all laughed.
"So you're singing?" Alex asked.
"Yup," I replied, nodding my head.
"Let's do this!" Layla almost shouted. She put her hand out. We put our hands in as well, then threw them up our hands and cheered, laughing.

*Josh's POV*

"We're still doing that performance, right?" Jake asked. We were all sitting around in the living room.
"I don't know..." I said.
"Why not?" Ryan asked.
"What about C-...h-her..." I said, I put a hand to my forehead and closed my eyes as the tears filled my eyes.
"We were a band before her. Josh come on!" Jake whined.
"Okay! But...I wanna sing something first...on my own..."
"What?" Seth asked.
"It's just a song. Hopefully Cece will be there. Because I want her to hear it."
"I hope she does too," Seth quietly agreed.
"Can we do a pop sorta song Ry? Just this once?"
"Depends," Jake answered.
"It's suppose to be a duet, but I'll sing it by myself. It's a song Cece showed to me when we were together..."
"Josh are you sure that'd be the best idea?" Ryan asked, concerned.
"Ryan I want to do this. Please." I begged. They agreed, thank god.
