they were still driving. it was a friday, it wasn't like they had anything planned this weekend either.

they had driven out of shadyside but then, and cyrus had tear stains on his porcelain face.

they stopped at a gas station for gas, and cyrus checked his phone.

he had 10 messages from buffy, 7 from his mom, 3 from andi, 3 from his dad, and 2 from jonah.

BUFFY:

hey cyrus!

cyrus, mind if i come over?

cyrus, where are you, you're not at home or the spoon.

cyrus please answer my calls.

cyrus are you okay we're worried nobody knows where you are

cyrus i'm scared please.

cyrus are you with jonah?

okay, i've contacted everyone you know and nobody knows where you are

okay i'm serious if you see these answer this isn't funny.

MOM:

cyrus, are you going to be home soon?

cyrus, who are you with? are you alone?

please answer me, i'm worried.

cyrus joshua goodman answer your mother's calls

cyrus i'm scared for you answer me

i'm going to send out an amber alert if you don't answer me but 7pm

you better not have run away.

ANDI:

cyrus wanna hang out?

cyrus where are you you've been missing for 2 hours

please answer someone, cyrus

DAD:

buddy your mom called me, where are you

please son i'm hoping you're safe

cyrus where are you?

JONAH:

cyrus your mom is going to send out an amber alert

cyrus come home

the boy sighed as he answered all the texts with either "i'm fine, i will be back by sunday morning." or "i went on a road trip."

tj finished pumping the gas. "want me to pay for the gas?"

cyrus looked up at him. "no i will-" and he pulled a 20 out of his pocket. "actually, can you? i'll get snacks."

tj nodded and went inside with cyrus to pay.

cyrus picked out jolly ranchers, a coffee for him, and he had tj pick out a drink in which he got an iced tea, and went on the road.

they stayed in a motel called "stayment". it was $10 a room per night, and, tj payed.

the got into the room before they realized they made a mistake. tge lady didn't ask them for one bed or two, she just gave them a room. it had one bed.

"she did say she was new." tj pointed out and sat on the bed.

"eh, whatever. we are soulmates, now, right?" cyrus shrugged, sitting next to him.

"i'm going to order a pizza. what toppings?" cyrus asked.

"pepperoni okay?" tj asked. cyrus nodded and the proceeded to call domino's pizza.

they arrived within the next 30 minutes, and that was they two boys' dinner for the night.

tj layed down and cyrus hesitantly layed next to him.

tj looked at cyrus, and that's when it happened again. tj leaned in and they kissed.

it wasn't as sweet as the first one. this one was a bit more rough, and tj got on top of cyrus. they continued, and cyrus smiled into the kiss.

tj took his shirt off, and he took of cyrus' as well.

ge gave cyrus hickies all the way down his chest, stopped at the lining of his jeans. the created eye contact and just kissed again. tj was winning dominance, and licked cyrus' lip for enterance.

cyrus agreed, and tj snuck his tongue into cyrus' mouth. tj kissed harder and more passionate, still exploring cyrus' mouth. they finally let go, their breaths in sync.

and then that's when cyrus knew.

that's when he knew he loved tj all along.
