cyrus walked up the steps to his house and unlockes the door, his parents weren't home.

his mom didn't get home until five, which it was now 3:57, and his dad, 6. just in time for dinner.

he put the necklace tj gave him around his neck, and sighed before opening jonah's present.

as he opened it, he smiled. jonah remembered. jonah had gotten him another necklace to add to the collection. this time, and amethyst hung from it.

he had first told jonah he was gay in 6th grade, and that year for his birthday jonah got him a necklace with a ruby on it.

7th grade, a necklace with an orange gem, cyrus couldn't recall the name of.

8th grade, a necklace with a yellow diamond.

9th grade, a peridot.

10th grade, a sapphire.

11th grade, tazanite

and finally, this year, the last color, amethyst.

he started catching on around 9th grade, realizing he was going through the rainbow.

this was when he fell for jonah, and he believed jonah was only being a supportive friend.

he still did.

tj kicked a tree. "jeezus, you have to be so stupid! you could have just told him!"

and as if the world wanted tj to embarrass himself, jonah popped out from by the monley bars. "tell who what?"

th stopped in his tracks and sighed.

"well, there's this boy that-" tj was cut off.

"are you talking about cyrus?" jonah asked.

"wait are you-"

"jonah? the one who left the box? yes."

"oh."

"continue with it. i'm listening." jonah smiled.

"cyrus has the same soulmate mark as me, and i don't how to tell him!"

jonah looked at tj in pure shock. cyrus had just gottrn his mark today and his soulmate already knew, they were....well....soulmates.

"can i see your mark?" jonah asked. tj nodded, lifting his sleeving.

jonah looked carefully at the mark, he hadn't even seen cyrus' mark yet. there goes his chances of being with cyrus.

"are you sure you're not mistaking it?" jonah asked.

"you can check yourself." tj shrugged.

"i think i just might do so."
