The New Light

Summer

I watch as the maids mend and chatter as they make my regular, everyday dress turns into a dress of royalty and beauty made only for special occasions. They also made it so I can run and fight in that dress too, but I don't know what I'll be fighting and running from. After the maids exited my temporary chambers, rushed to my dress with delight and wonder. "Wow!", I said quietly so no one could hear me. It was a beautiful orange with yellow here and there. The white parts, if you look up close, are real diamonds!! Even my family can't afford even one of those rocks. The maids said to me that I can wear my hair how ever u want to. That's a relief, I don't like other people except mom or my sisters to touch my hair. As a carefully put the amazing gown on and put my wavy blonde hair down on my back, there was a knock at my chamber door. "Summer!", the voice yelled, and right away I knew that it was Stella. So I opened the door quietly and let her and silent Luna in. Stella had a the same dress as me but opposite, it was yellow and orange here and there too, but the diamonds where spotted on the skirt if the dress with her birth mark on the shirt. The diamonds where like stars on the dress just like the real ones in the sky. Her golden blonde hair, kinda like mine but lighter, was down as well but her hair is strait. But Luna was so much different the me and Stella's dress. Her's was a mix of dark and light blues with her birthmark as well on the shirt part of the dress. For the first time ever she had her hair down. Her wavy dirty-blonde hair, with blonde highlights, was dangling down on her back. "Why are you staring at me like you have seen a dragon!" Luna says with a concerned tone. I'm happy that Luna was my second sister. We had so much fun before Stella came. "We just never seen you with your hair down Luna. Calm down!" Stella said with her kind of calming voice. "Before I was rudely interrupted, Summer, There are three more chosen ones just like us!" She said with a squeaky tone like they were cute boys. So I opened the door and saw three boys, looks like the same age and are brothers talking, and shut the door with a smile. We all screamed in happiness and started to chit chatter on which one was are favorite. Stella's was the younger one, of course. Luna was the middle aged one and I think they would go really well. But me, well the older one because he was cute and looked so demanding. Then one of the maids knocked on my door and said that the ceremony is about to begin. We walk out and get ready for life ahead of us and the rituals of power and light.
