The language of silence and love

Uh Oh

(Author's note: As far as the last chapter was concerned, I rushed to update all of my stories and totally forgot that Adriana was mute for this one so please disregard that. Just imagine that Jacob placed a spare projector set on her while she was asleep so she could talk to him. I promise I won't do that ever again okay. Bye bye lovelies~!) 

Jacob approached Anabeth, who was now walking to the back of the cafe. "Hey Anabeth. I'm Jacob, our boss asked me to train you." he told, smiling sweetly. She smiled back but began to speak to him in sign language. "I'm sorry but I don't know what you're saying to me right now. I'm mostly deaf therefore I can not hear anything that you're saying." she signed. Jacob chuckled and signed back. "Ah so you have a disability as well. Our last employee also had a disability but she's technically on maternity leave. You will meet her eventually when she comes back." 

"Ah. You mean Adriana? Congradulations." 

"How did you know...."

"I have my reasons for knowing such things." she signed while walking away as her blonde hair swung. "She looks kind of like Adriana's mother, Catherine.... that's weird." Jacob mumbled. 

Days and weeks went by with Adriana staying at home, cooking, cleaning, and waiting for Jacob to come home to her but one night he didn't show up. It was past midnight and he should have been at home with her. She decided to stuff her growing belly under a tight navy blue long sleeve shirt with a pair of gray sweat pants and go out to find him. Adriana took her chances in the dangerous night to visit the cafe, which was miles away. The cafe was now open twenty four hours since Anabeth got there and was practically dragging in customers at all hours like fish being caught in a net. Their boss opened the clear door for her after drying it off with a towel. A few customers were in the cafe but they were getting ready to leave. "Hey Adriana. How are you doing?" he typed on his phone and handed it to her. 

"I'm fine. Just huge. Do you see the size of my stomach right now?"

"Yeah XDD"

"Have you seen Jacob?"

"No. Why?"

"He didn't come home at his normal time and he'd normally text me if he's going to the store or something."

"Ah. Now that you think about it, I overheard him and Anabeth talking about going to a Get Scared concert."

"Was that tonight?"

"There might be a huge possibility of it.."

"*growl*"

"Ooooh he's dead now. OOooo! I think it's being held a few miles down from here. Want me to drive you?" 

"Please. Thank you."

Their boss took his phone back from her and put it in his pocket. Adriana waited for the customers to leave and for him to close up shop. He usually was the only one here at night but since he was driving Adriana to the concert, no one was left to run the cafe and he didn't want to leave it in a state where they could be robbed. The two hopped into his black Toyota Camry and drove down to where the concert was being held. They got out of the car once he parked it and walked past the line, ignoring the comments people were saying about skipping. They eventually found the two in the middle of the line. Adriana lightly tapped his shoulder and waited for him to turn around. "Hey baby what are you doing here?" he typed on his phone and gave it to her. She angrily tapped her fingers on the gentle screen. "Don't you dare ask me what I'm doing here after waiting for hours for you at home to only find you here at a concert I wanted to go to and to make it worse, you're here with some other girl. Hmph, you think I'm just going to sit at home pregnant with your baby, the child that I thought we wanted to raise together after you got me on the bad side with my parents and got me kicked out, while you are out having fun? Fine then. You want to have fun with her then go ahead and have fun. Start dating her while you're at it. We're through." she typed back, threw the phone at his face and walked back to the car with their boss. Jacob read it and ran after her, grabbing her wrist. She violently snatched it away as Anabeth approached the two, hugging on Jacob. Adriana pushed him back onto her, wanting to scream with all of her might right now. "Thanks for giving me your man sis. I really wanted him." she said. "Sis? And we're not dating. Get off of me. I love Adriana." Jacob slightly yelled, shaking her off of him. Adriana just looked at the two, confused, with heavy tears falling down her cheek. Anabeth laughed and cackled evilly. 

"I'm not actually deaf. I was just pretending. Yes. Sis. I was the child that Adriana's so called parents had years ago before they took her in but gave up for adoption." 

"You're lying right?"

"No Jacob I'm not lying about this. I was the child they threw away for you... you made my life a living hell so I'm going to make yours just like it!" she screamed, lauching for Adriana with a knife in her hand. 

"ADRIANA NO! MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!" Jacob screamed but he was too late.....
