Loving A Misfit

Chapter 2

           It is 5 a.m. Adrianna and I are already awake working out because we still get nightmares so we don't sleep much. I decide to roam the grounds a little but as soon as I exit there are bodyguards every 5 feet of each other. I still head outside and start to walk towards this huge tree, I noticed that all the bodyguard's gazes were fixed on me and just for the fun of it I start to run. I make it behind the house much quicker than anyone else so I drop to the ground and roll under a bush. As I hear all the footsteps pass I quickly get up and run back towards the front door there was one guard at the door and he seems oblivious to what's going on so I walk up the stairs. apparently, the boss told him about me because he moves out the way as I enter the front door. I lean up against a wall out of breath but I release a smile because that was the most fun I've had in a while.

"I saw that," a young but handsome boy says smiling interrupting my thoughts while walking towards me. He looks as if he's only a few years older than me and he's muscular for his age and he has a few scars on him. I quickly straighten my face and brush past him walking toward the kitchen as he follows behind me.

"Listen this is my house now who are you?" he asks annoyed but curiosity dripped from his words as he grabs an apple and bites it while sitting at the table, I ignore him and lean against the wall sizing him up and down. He has workout clothes on and he's pretty energetic for it to be this early in the morning and he did say this is his house, he must be boss's son.

"Hello?!" he says irritated that I'm not answering but that was rude and I don't take disrespect kindly I start to make my way towards him and in that instant boss walks in.

"Leave her alone," he says walking straight to the fridge not even sparing either of us a glance, mark immediately changes his posture shifting in his chair sitting up straight.

"Sit," Boss says looking at me while nodding at the table and I do as I am told, I can follow the rules to an extinct.

"You're early usually my sons the first one here" he says opening up a water bottle  and drinking it and at that moment 4 others young boys around marks age flood in laughing and making jokes they all stop when they notice me and of course like normal hormonal teenage boys they stare and I roll my eyes.

"Sit down and stop staring," the boss says almost sounding annoyed and they all quietly rush to their seats and they seem assigned one boy walked over to me and stood over me looking down.

"You're in my seat," he says arrogantly I look at the boss and he's glaring at me with a slick smirk I slowly stand from the table and in an instant, I sweep him off his feet with my right leg and pin him down with my left foot on his chest. Chairs screech as everyone rises from the table shocked and confused but the boss just laughs.

"Pooh, go to the kitchen, mark will tell you the rules" he chuckles as if he's amused by this entire situation, I slowly remove my foot from his chest and head towards the kitchen without turning around I hear footsteps behind me and I'm assuming mark's following but just before he exits.

"Oh and mark..." Boss says as he stands and mark stops in his tracks and turns towards him

"She doesn't speak, so just explain... she understands you." he finishes as he exits the room and the rest of the boys follow. I lean against the counter as mark enters and he sits down looking at me curiosity filling his eyes

"So, pooh Monday through Thursday we meet at 6 a.m for training. I'm your partner,  lunch is at 12 and after 5 you are free to roam the grounds. You are not allowed to leave and no fighting with the other members. We are a team and soon we will be a family." he says but he's interrupted by Adrianna's blood-curdling scream without thinking I push him out of the way and run towards my house as I approach I notice that the front door is wide open. I quickly scramble inside to see the boy I pinned earlier and another from this morning meeting on top of Adrianna pinning her arms and legs down.
