Chapter Five

*Carah POV*

"Now my dear, I imagine you have tons more questions, but I see you need some time. I'll leave you too your thoughts". Slenderman said standing and leaving the room.

Jeffrey sat by me and stared at me. I looked at him and my eyes started to water. He looked shocked but he did something I didn't think I would ever feel again. He hugged me. I sat there stunned but hugged him back equally as hard. I could here slight whimpers and new he was crying too. I leaned back from the hug just as he spoke.

"I'm so - so sorry Carah. I - I couldn't control myself. It happened so fast... and after it was over, I regretted everything. It was something that over took me, and I couldn't stop it. That's why when you turn I'm gonna make sure you don't go nuts like me". Jeffrey said. By now he had stopped crying and looked more determined than sad. I nodded and hugged him again. I felt as his chest rose and fell with each breath and I breathed in his scent to still smell apples. Like nothing has changed.

"Listen, we should go meet everybody, and then we can go out because it should be night time". He said leaning back and grabbing my hand. He stood up as I stood with him and we strolled out of the library hand in hand like brother and sister.

"You know Masky". Jeffrey said as I stood in some what of a living room with other creatures in it. "That's Ben". Jeffrey said pointing to a boy with a green shirt and green hat on. He had blond hair, and black eyes with red lights in the middle. Also a bow was strapped to his back with arrows. "sup". Ben said staring at me.

"Thats Eyeless Jack but we just call him Jack". Jeffrey said pointing to a really creppy looking tall dude with a black hoodie and a blue mask with large black eyes. He just waved casually before looking away.

"And that's Hoodie". He said pointing to the one closest to Masky. He wore a yellow hoodie and had a black mask with red eyes and a red frown. I took that to be very creepy. He just waved at me and turned back to watching TV.

"So yeah that's everyone. Hey guys we were planning on going out if anyone wanted to join". Jeffrey said making everyone jump up.

"Hell to the yeah! Let's show this girl the ropes! Shall we"? Ben said running to the front door.

I laughed and walked to the front door with Jeffrey beside me. We walked out and I saw a really long drive way and woods all around us. "We will have to walk to town". Jeffrey says as I stared at the beautiful scenery. I just nodded as all six of us started our walk down the long driveway. I felt a presence on my right side and looked to see Masky. I smiled at him as he looked down at me.

"So how are you handling things"? He said in a hushed tone so no one else could here.

"Pretty well I guess, I mean I'm going to rule every monster that is on the earth. Is there a certain way your supposed to feel"? I say making him slightly chuckle.

"no, I guess not". He said as we made it out onto the small highway finally and turned to the direction of the town. I realized now that it was night time that it was cold out. I began to shiver in only my white T-shirt and sweat pants. Although I did have on UGG boots now. Masky saw me shivering and started to take his hoodie off.

"oh, no, I'm fine". I said trying to make him stop. He still took it off though. He handed it to me reveling his surprisingly muscular arms. I mean don't get me wrong they were chicken arms but still if he flexed he had muscles. I took the orange hoodie gratefully and slipped it on. It was two times to big but I liked it. It was comfy.

"what about when we get into town. Won't people stare at you". I said seeing the back of his head was reveled. I think his hair is brown and short. It is pretty dark though.
