Chapter 5- Predebut

2 years later.

~Mindi's POV~

“Oppa! Kyungsoo oppa!” I yelled, running up to him and out of breath. “They finalized the new guy group list! And OPPA, you're going to debut! I'm so happy for you!”

“Seriously? I'm going to debut?” He asked in disbelief. Then he picked me up and spun me around. “I'm going to debut!” He screamed.

“You're going to debut! And guess what, oppa? Kai is going to debut with you! In the same group!” I was ecstatic. He's been dreaming about this for ages, just like me. He was going to debut with one of his best friends too- ah, so lucky.

Before you get the wrong idea about us, I'm going to clear this up by saying, Kyungsoo is just one of my best friends. We aren't lovers or anything.

I would've been happier that night when I found out if I didn't see Lu Han's name on the list. Apparently, he was going to debut in the same group, but different sub-group. He would be singing in Mandarin while Kyungsoo's group was singing in Korean.

“Let's go out to dinner, Kyungsoo, you can buy since you're gonna be debuting. We need to celebrate your debuting.” I said, “But, then again, we're celebrating your future debut. Maybe I should buy?”

Kyungsoo laughed and put his arm around my neck, “How about we go get food first and then decide?”

We went out of the SM Trainee building, only to see Lu Han coming in. “Yo~man, what's up?”

The guys bumped fists, and Kyungsoo replied, “Oh, we're just going out for a celebratory dinner, wanna come?”

“Sure, is it gonna be just you two? Can I bring Sehun too?”

“Sure, sure. The more, the merrier. And Kai is also coming with us.”

“Okay, see you guys later.”

Kyungsoo knew about my situation with Lu Han, but he still maintained his friendship with him. He told me that that he felt what I did was wrong, so he didn't cease his friendship with Lu Han.

~Luhan's POV~

Even though I'm still not that comfortable with Mindi yet, since we run each other a lot around the building since we're both trainees, I've declared peace for now. But, since I'm debuting, there's definitely going to be a chance for revenge. I just need to come up with an idea.

“Sehun-ah! We're going out to celebrate our soon-to-be-debut. Come with us!” I called as I walked into our dorm room.

“Arraseo, I'm coming!” Sehun called back, “I just need to find my shoes.”

The five of us sat at a round table waiting for our food to arrive.

Mindi broke the silence and asked, “What is one thing you guys want to accomplish after debuting?”

“I want to win 1st place at a music show definitely.” Sehun answered.

“I want to do that and go into acting.” Kyungsoo answered.

“I want to win first at a music show and also design a choreography.” Kai answered.

Everyone looked at me.

“Uh, I want to win first at a music show too.” I answered. And also get revenge on Mindi for breaking up with me like that just to become famous. It's a big joke since I'll be the one that'll become famous.

The food came and we all devoured it like pigs. Kai and I ended up paying for the food that day.

~Mindi's POV~

“Mindiiiiii-ah! What are you doinggg tomorrow?” Li Yun called from her bed. (A/N: Imagine it like Chanyeol calling. Play the media.)

“Nothing, why?” I said.

“We're going to have a girls' day out tomorrow with Eun Bi. I got permission from our manager. After that, we're going to go to a nightclub. For the first time in forever~” Li Yun said sang. (A/N: I know Frozen was after this, but lets pretend.)

I found out that Li Yun and Eun Bi were really nice and since we were all roommates, we became friends with each other. We helped each other when we had trouble singing a part or executing a dance move. Li Yun is not really outgoing, but she's confident and fun, but very blunt. Eun Bi is just really shy. She would join in on everything, but she doesn't talk to others that much. However, she her family background is really good. She can seem like a spoiled brat at times because of her family background, but she's really sweet. Her parents own a huge hotel in Jejudo called Bliss Freedom and it generated huge amounts of profit. Li Yun actually came from a lower middle class family. She didn't have that much money to spare, so you were lucky if she decided to buy you a meal. I didn't have much money either, with my mom in and out of the hospital because of the accident two years ago.

“Arraseo. Good night.” I answered.

“So, I heard that Kyungsoo was going to debut soon.” Li Yun said while we were getting our feet scalded by hot water.

“Yep, he is. Along with 11 other trainees. They're going to debut in a group called Exo.” I answered.

“Twelve guys! If they're all as good looking as Kyungsoo is, I bet the group's going to have lots of success.” Eun Bi exclaimed.

“Mhm. Luhan is going to debut too.” I said.

“Oh. Luhan. Don't worry too much Mindi. Even though what you did was wrong, I'll still comfort you. We'll all probably debut soon and be very successful!” Li Yun said.

“Yes, of course. I agree with Li Yun. You have to admit that what you did was wrong, but we'll support you anyway.” Eun Bi chimed in.

“Enough with all this talk and lets go to the nightclub. Our feet is all done now.” I said.

We hailed a taxi and went to the nightclub.

“It's my first time going. I'm so nervous about this.” Eun Bi said biting on her nails. She was the youngest one here and recently turned 20 years old. (A/N: I don't know if that's the legal agge in Korea, but let's just pretend it is. In this fanfic, you'll need to use a lot of imagination, hehe.)

“Don't worry!” We both said to her.

We got out of the taxi and went inside the club. I bumped into someone and turns out it was Luhan. “Luhan.” I said.

“Mindi.” He said back, “Watch where you're going. Things like this can lead to big accidents. We don't want that happening now, do we?”

A/N: My longest update so far, hehe. She bumps into Luhan again! It's not really a cliffhanger, but more of foreshadowing? I wonder what's going to happen next? Are you curious too?

I attached the multimedia of Chanyeol calling Kyungsoo's name. I found it really cute. Anyways, just imagine that that is Li Yun calling Eun Bi's name.
