This chapter was supposed to be up on Aaliyah's birthday but it didn't let me upload

Shawn's POV

*next Morning*

I open my eyes but quickly close them because the light of the room is too bright.

"Shawn, get up" Amanda says
"What? Why?" I question
"*cough* it's Someone's birthday!" She says
"Wait? Is it yours? Isn't yours in December?" He says.
I open my eyes and look at her
She laughs and shakes her head "it's not my birthday"
"Then?" I asks confused
"Check your phone" she says
I turn around and grab my phone

* 30 misses messages *

"Holy crap it's Aaliyah's birthday!" I yell jumping up from the bed
"Bingo" Amanda yells
I run to my closet and find something to wear
"What Time is it?" I ask
"12:00 PM" she answers
"That's late, what should I wear" i say
She walks over to my closet and looks through my clothes
She hands me black jeans, a white T-shirt, and white Nike's
I jog to the bathroom and change, when I'm done I start brushing my teeth and fixing my hair.
When I'm all ready I come out
"Wow my baby's looking hot" she says
I smile
"What are you wearing?" I ask her
"I don't know, you chose" she says
"Haha no, I'm a horrible dresser" I say
"I don't care" she says
I sigh and walk over to her closet
I immediately saw a red dress and black high heels
"Here" I say handing her the clothes
"I knew it" she says and smirks
She walks to the restroom and changes
"How do I look?" She asks
"Damn" I say admiring her
"Omg stop" she chuckles
"What? You're beautiful" I say
She rolls her eyes and playfully slaps my arm

"So, we're doing Aaliyah's birthday here at my condo?" I ask her
"Uh yes, wasn't that what you told her last year?" She says
I look at her confused
"How do you know?" I ask
"Videos of aaliyah birthday party on your insta story, I heard you say her next birthday was going to be at your condo" I say
"Ohhhhhhh" he says
I nod
"Yeah well let's buy things and get ready" I say

Amanda's POV

We run to Shawn's keep and go to the store
We arrive and then we buy, balloons, a cake, muffins, champagne, marshmallows and other things.

"We ready?" Shawn asks
"Yeah" I say
We pay for the things and leave

"Let's set up everything" I say
Shawn nods and finishes doing everything

Then Shawn jumps on the couch and I jump right next to him

He's texting Aaliyah

Come over to my condo we have a surprise for you

He turns his phone off and kisses my cheek

5 PM

Aaliyah's POV

My parents and I drive to shawns condo!
I'm sooooo excited to see Amanda!

When we finally arrive I run to the door, I see a few fans outside of his hotel, I see one in particular that I absolutely dislike, but I just keep walking and knock on his door.

"Hey" Shawn's says when he opens the door
"Shawn!!" I run and hug him
"Babe they're here" Shawn yells at Amanda

She comes out and WOAH, she's soooo pretty
"Hi" I shyly say
"Heyyy" she says and hugs me tight
"You're so pretty!" I say
"Thank you! And happy birthday!" She says
"Thank u! WHERES THE CAKE?" I say
All of them laugh, and I join too

"The kitchen" Shawn says
I run to the kitchen and open the box
My eyes grew wide when I saw the chocolate cake, I dipped my finger in it and licked the chocolate of my finger. "Mmmmm"

"Aaliyah!" My mom yells
"Y..Yeah?" I awkwardly say
"Stop eating the cake" she says
I laugh and nod
Then I walk to the living room and sit down while texting my friends

Amanda's POV

"Hey mrs. Mendes" I say nervously
She smiles and hugs me "hey"
Mr. Mendes does the same

"We're so glad you make my son happy" mr. Mendes says
Shawn blushes and I laugh
"I'm so glad that I'm the girl that makes him happy" I say and he kisses my cheek
"Awww okay enough with PDA" Mrs. Karen says
Shawn and I chuckle

"There isn't going to be many people here" Shawn says
I nod "yeah it's only mrs. Mendes , mr. Mendes , Aaliyah, 3 of Aaliyah's friends and that's it." I say

"Wait, one, Amanda you can call me Karen and you can call my husband Manuel" she says and smiles
"Okay Karen" I say and smile back
"And, two, someone else is here" She says and walks to the front

When she brings in an old woman I feel like it's Shawn's grandma

"Grandma!" Shawn yells and hugs her
"Sweetie" the woman says
"Grandma I missed you I love you so much" Shawn says still not believing she's here

"Wow who's this lady here?" She says looking at me
"Hi I'm Amanda! Shawn's Girlfriend" I say happily
"You're so gorgeous" she says
I grab her hand and say "thank you"
"Is he a good boyfriend?" She asks
I chuckle and nod
"That's good" she says

"Okay enough with the chit chat let's eat some cake" Aaliyah yells from the living room

"Okay" I yell back

I run to the living room and the rest of Shawn's family follow behind
