Okay, first of all I have to say this Tye guy is really annoying. He interrupted the most important part. Anyways, maybe I should tell you what was on my card.

Brendan Thomas:
Power of Speed
Code 00007968

But what did that mean? The power of speed? Did that mean that I could run fast or something? That could be helpful in football. I was the quarterback.

But, what gender was Quinn? Because I'd be fine with whatever.

As soon as Tye had introduced himself, Taylor responded with, "Did you really have to interrupt?"

"What did I interrupt?" he asked.

"Everything!" Quinn yelled. It seemed as though xe was mad.

"Okay," Mr. David interrupted, "as I was saying, you all are going to have super powers."

A small noise came out of Tye. "WHAT?" He started jumping up and down, "finally! Finally! I'm going to be better than everyone!"

I had to admit I was suprised as well. I hadn't expected this. I checked the clock on the wall: 3:07. Still fifty three minutes left of the 'book club'.

"Wait?" the girl to my right said, speaking for the first time, "is this real?" I think her name was Sarah.

"I'm not kidding," Mr. David said.

"Bow down to me, faggots!" Tye said. "Because I bet all you are gayyyy!"

It was as though he had touched a nerve. Quinn jumped out of their seat and grabbed Tye by the throat, lifting him into the air.

"Don't," xe said aggresively. "Ever. Say that.
Again!"

Xe released him, throwing him to the ground. Quinn was mad. Xis face was red.

"Don't-" I heard Mr. David say, but it was useless. Quinn was too far.

I looked back at Quinn to see something I never would have expected. Where Quinn used to stand was a vicious wolf. It's silver fur shined. Sharp teeth were revealed. It growled at Tye, and put one of its paws on Tye. The wolf barked.

Was it possible that the wolf was Quinn?

Mr. David ran over to where the wolf was standing. "Break it up!" he shouted. "Break it up!"

He had to get in between the wolf and a struggling Tye to get them to stop fighting. Mr. David got the wolf into a corner and then looked at Tye. He was fine, except for a bite mark on his left calf.

A couple minutes passed in silence. I would've rather been yelled at, even though I didn't do anything.

There was a white flash of light, and in the corner where the wolf had been, now stood Quinn. Xe walked back to her chair, not saying anything.

"What the hell was that?" Xe screamed. "One minute I was a person, the next I'm a wolf!"

"I was trying to explain that to you," Mr. David said. "You have super powers. Each of your powers are different. Quinn, your powers activate with your emotions. You were mad at Tye. You wanted to attack him, so you turned into a wolf that could attack him."

Quinn didn't say anything.

"Brendan," Mr. David started, "You have the ability to speed up your legs, so you can run fast. It's been tested. You can run about four thousand miles an hour."

"Cool!" I said.

"Of course you'd need training, just like all of you, in order to control your power." He looked at Quinn.

Mr. David handed out slips of paper to Tye, Taylor and Sarah, which I asked her, and she said that was her name.

I also had a nice conversation with Quinn.

"So," I said, "are you a boy or girl? Because I'm fine with either."

Xe blushed. "I'm neither. I'm non-binary."

"I'm fine with that too," I said, in a flirty voice.

Xe perked up. "Really? Most people just say they get turned off. What's your sexuality."

"Pansexual," I replied.

"Okayyy," xe said, looking slightly happier.

"Quinn! Brendan!" I heard Mr. David say. We rushed over to him.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Brendan! I need you to run to Mexico and get me the nacho supreme! Run! Run! Run!" He turned to Quinn. "I need to test your super powers. Come with me."

I rushed out the door, and started running. My legs were faster, but it was almost as if I was running in slow motion. Maybe it was how I didn't run into walls?

I ran all the way to Mexico, at least I hope I ran the right way. I eventually found a plate full of chips and melted cheese and ran back to where the school was.

It was cool. It was like there was a GPS. It was guiding me on how to get back to the school. "Right turn ahead!" I heard it say, and was now face to face with the school. I saw Mr. David and Quinn standing near one of the doors.

I wanted to see Quinn being tested, so I hid around the corner.

"Alright Quinn," he said. "I need you to turn into your wolf."

"But I'm not mad," xe said.

"You've turned into the wolf before. It's in you," he said.

"Okay." Quinn looked like xe was struggling, and after about a minute, Mr. David told her to go back inside.

"And send out Sarah," he said. Sarah! The others! I still didn't know what powers they had. By now, I was starting to believe that it was all real. I was also wondering if Harry Potter was also real...

And why I hadn't gotten picked to be in Hogwarts! The bastards!

But I was curious to see what the others could do. What if Taylor could walk through walls or something?

I walked back inside and found the rooms. I opened it to find a complete mess! Taylor was holding a blue lightsaber, like the one from Star Wars. Tye, I couldn't see Tye. But then I saw a giant grey cloud with Tye sitting on it.

What were these powers? To use a lightsaber and fly on clouds? I walked up to Taylor.

"Hey man," I said.

"Sup," he said turning to me, accidentally slicing a chair in half.

"So....uhhhh," I said looking at his giant glow stick, "what are your powers?"

I would have never thought that I would ever say that in my life. So far this day had turned from a kind of normal, to insanely crazy.

The fact that I was in Mexico, maybe, was crazy enough.

"Oh," Taylor said, seeing the smoke rising from the now ruined chair, "apparently I have the power to summon weapons."

"Cool!" I said, genuinely interested. "I got stuck with super speed." There was a pause. "You don't believe this all, do you?"

"Not really," Taylor said. "It's like someone slipped me some Crack at lunch or something."

Sarah entered the room. "Taylor," she said.

"Well that's me," he said, "I'll talk to you later."

"Bye," I said as he left.

Maybe I would go for a run. I left the classroom with him and started running through the halls. I turned a corner and saw a strange man wearing a black coat there. Even with the slow-mo running, I couldn't avoid him. I hit him, and everything moved as normal again. I fell to the ground, landing on my arm in a painful way.

I watched in a blur as the man I ran into took out a small dart, and stabbed me in my good arm. I can't remember the rest.
