Hey guys. It's finally my turn to tell the story! This is Taylor, by the way. Anyways, I was really surprised when I figured out I had powers. I saw my power, and I've always wanted to hold a lightsaber. It just appeared! How cool is that!

Okay, so I left the room. A second later, I felt a rush of wind behind me. It was strange. I ignored the gust and headed outside. I found Mr. David.

"So," I said. "What do you want me to do?"

"Thanks for coming out here," he said, looking down at a clipboard, "Now, I'd like you to summon a sword and shield."

I imagined myself holding a sword in my right hand and a shield in my left. I closed my eyes to concentrate. There was a swoosh of noise and I reopened my eyes.

In my left hand, I was holding a frying pan, and in my right hand, I was holding a cardboard sword, like something a little kid would make to play with. "Okay," Mr. David said, slightly disappointed, "Not quite, but not bad for your first time. Now I'd like to test your fighting skills."

Wut.

"Ummm," I said, the concern obvious in my voice, "I'm not so-"

I heard a roar behind me. I turned to see a girl with a blonde ponytail holding steak knives. A teal hydro flask hung from her waist. She lunged forward. I was caught off guard. She slashed her knives and cut my arm. Feeling the blood run down my arm, I jumped to the side.

I dropped my toy weapons and summoned a shiny silver sword. On the handle was a bright red gem. It looked like a ruby. I swung it and hit the strange girl. She fell back onto the ground.

My enemy threw her knives at me, and in one quick motion jumped back up. One of the knives missed but the other slid across my face, cutting my cheek.

Where was Mr. David in all of this? I turned to look at where he had been standing, but he wasn't there. Was I on my own? Would I have to kill this woman? She was obviously ready to kill me.

Looking back at the girl, I saw that she was now holding her hydro flask. On her hip, where her flask used to be, was a rubber duck like one someone would use when taking a bath.

She swung her hydro flask around. I knew that if I was hit with it, it would be very bad.

Did the others have to face something like this as well? How did they do? Maybe Quinn turned into her wolf and easily beat this girl, or maybe someone like her.

She tried to smack me with her water bottle, but I ducked and rolled around behind her. I used my sword to try to cut her, but the most it did was cut a bit of her hair. I summoned a shield. I knew I would probably need it if she swung her flask at me.

I saw the girl I was fighting look around. She reached for her waist and grabbed her duck. She threw the rubber toy onto the ground and there was a flash of dark, bloody red. When the smoke cleared, I could see that there was a ring of fire around me and her, slowly coming towards us.

I had a limited time. Eventually the fire would limit the area I had to work in, and eventually, I wouldn't be able to do anything.

And then I got an idea. I dropped my weapons and summoned a hose. I sprayed it around the fire, putting it out. I had to somehow defeat this strange enemy.

I summoned a shiny black bow. A bag of arrows was slung over my shoulder. I pulled one out with a red tip and drew the string back. I released it once I was aimed at her.

In a loud explosion, that left my ears ringing, my enemy was now gone. Mr. David reappeared behind me and said, "That was good. I like the way you used different weapons depending on your situation." He looked down at his clipboard, and then back at me, " I wouldn't have thought of using the explosion arrows, but it was a good choice."

"Uhh," I said, "thanks."

I had no idea what he meant by explosion arrows, but that must have been what the explosion was. Maybe that's why it had a red tip?

"Okay," I said, "so who do you want next?"

"Bring out Brendan," he said.

"Okay," I said. I walked for the door and just as I opened it, I remembered something I wanted to ask him. "How did we get our powers? I mean, obviously, we didn't have them for all of our lives."

"It was the code you saw on your card," he said, simply. "That code is linked into your brain now, and it allows you to use your powers. Also, once you saw your code, even if someone else sees it, they will never be able to remember it. If they write it down, it will be corrupt. Only you can use it."

"Um, okay, thanks," I said. I entered the school and headed back to the room. As soon as I entered, a huge glob of snow and ice hit me in the face. I shivered and heard a laugh. I wiped the snowball remains off my face.

I saw Tye in front of me. His power was to control the weather, so somehow he figured out how to throw snowballs. It looked as though I was his first target, as Tye turned and looked at Quinn, who was on xer phone. I still hadn't talked to xer much.

After I asked whether xe was a boy or a girl, I was a little confused. I meant to talk to xer, but I lost contact and got really busy.

I felt bad because I knew that xe was cute. It was just a little hard to get past xis gender.

Tye started to throw a snowball at Quinn, but I quickly stepped in from of xer and blocked it. Xe stood up and looked at Tye who looked scared. Xe charged at him. I stepped out of the way at the last second as xe turned into xer wolf.

I saw as everything human was taken away from Quinn. Xe shrunk and stood on all fours and from there started transforming into the wolf. I was curious about what other animals xe could turn into.

Quinn hit him just as xe became the wolf, and knocked him down. Tye was on the ground, with the wolf on top of him. He stretched out his hand and a dark, electric cloud appeared above them. A large bolt of lightning struck Quinn. Xe rolled over in pain while Tye got back to his feet.

I stepped in and stood between them. "Calm down, calm down," I whispered to Quinn. Xe calmed down, as xe became human again.

"Grrrr," xe said.

"It's okay, deep breaths." I had to calm xer down or else someone could get hurt.

"I-I'm okay now," xe said, "it's just," I saw a tear roll down xis face, "when I become the wolf, I can't control myself. Everything I do isn't me."

I just stood there. I wasn't really expecting that.

Before I could say anything, Quinn walked over to Tye. "Listen," xe started, but as soon as Tye saw xer, he jumped back.

"Get away from me!" he said.

Quinn turned back to me. We locked eyes. After a few seconds, xe turned away and sat down, back on her phone. I took out my phone. "Hey," I said, trying to change the subject, "what's your number? I got a new one and lost your number."

She gave me her number.

"Alright," I said. "Thanks."

Just then, Mr. David entered the room. I remembered that I was supposed to send Brendan to him for his testing, but I didn't see him.

"Everyone," he paused, dramatically, "suit up! Brendan is gone."
