"Friend Happy?" called Starfire walking around Jump City. "Where are you, Friend Happy? It is I, Starfire! I am a friend!"
Little did she know that Happy was following her. Starfire, wondering if Happy would like the mall, called, "Friend Happy, I wish to go to the mall of shopping with you!"
"Yay! Mall!" squealed Happy from behind Starfire, laughing in joy. Starfire turned in time to be hugged by the Pink-clad Raven. The hug made Starfire almost as happy as Happy. "Let's go shopping at the mall!" Happy said with a smile.
"Oh, joy!" cried Starfire. "Let us--huh?" Her communicator was beeping. She answered it and saw Raven's picture on the screen.
"Okay, Happy, I know you're listening, but I need to talk to Starfire alone," Raven said. "It's a surprise for you."
"Yay! I love surprises!" cried Happy. She stuck her fingers in her ears, closed her eyes, and turned away from Starfire and her communicator.
"Starfire, I need to give you advice on how to catch Happy," said Raven. "The only way you can have more fun than her is to challenge her to things you find fun. And you have to be okay with losing if she beats you at the challenges."
"Such as what kind of challenges?" asked Starfire. Raven said, "Well, you know how you asked me to have a flying race with you the other day, and I said no?"
"Yes," replied Starfire. Raven said, "Well Happy would say yes to a race like that. And you could add a reward for the winner at the end. Like the loser has to buy the winner an ice cream cone at the mall or something."
"Oh joy!" cried Starfire. "But what was the surprise for Happy?"
"I just said that to get her to not listen to what I needed to tell you," Raven confessed. "But if you want to give her a surprise, get her a big can of glitter. She loves glitter. And she's probably going to ask what the surprise is as soon as you get her attention, but don't tell her. She won't really want you to, and it would ruin the surprise if you do."
"Very well," said Starfire happily. Raven ended the transmission without saying goodbye, but Starfire didn't mind.
"Happy?" she said to the pink emoticlone. Happy didn't respond. But when Starfire tapped her shoulder, she took her fingers out of her ears, opened her eyes, and turned around to face Starfire.
"What's the surprise?" she asked eagerly. Starfire said, "Ummm... Friend Raven told me not to tell you."
"Oh, it must be a good one then!" said Happy, happily.
"Friend, let us have a race flying to the mall of shopping, where the loser buys the winner a large ice cream cone!" said Starfire.
Happy's eyes sparkled pink. "Yay! I love races!" she said in delight.
The two girls took off flying and flew as fast as they could to the mall. Happy won, and Starfire bought her a three-scoop ice cream cone with chocolate, vanilla, and strawbery ice cream. Happy ate it as the two of them wandered around the mall window shopping.
After several minutes of window shopping, Starfire found an art store, where she bought a huge can of pink glitter. She then gave it to Happy, and said, "Surprise!"
The look in Happy's eyes was pure joy. "Oh, I love glitter!" she said in delight. "Especially Pink glitter! When I get back in Raven's mind, I'll put it all over everything! Thank you, Starfire!"
The fun Starfire had of giving Happy a present and recieving her thanks was enough to bind Happy to her. A pink glow surrounded the emoticlone, who said, "Let's shop some more before you get Attitude. You're going to need the fun energy to deal with her."
