Cheryl's POV

I shrugged the contact off thinking it could've been an accidental touch, but as Toni and I continued to skip happily to our next destination, a hard, stern, croaky voice rose from the murmurs of our dispersing crowd.

"Excuse me!" A male voice continued.

Toni twirled round first, still a little loopy from what she had previously overcome.

"Hm?" Toni allowed him to resume what he had interrupted them for.

"Uhm, there are children here." The man had a standoffish aura, that made me shudder out of rage from the audacity of the old bloke. The strange man shielded their daughter from us and the woman covered her eyes.

"Damn it, Cher you brought me to an amusement park and didn't tell me there would be kids here?" Toni turned to Cheryl in a sarcastic manner.

"I totally forgot, my bad." I comically face palmed myself.

"Good thing your covering her eyes." Toni commended the mother. "I wouldn't like her to see her parents acting like such homophobes either."

I glanced at Toni and laughed. "Oh and you might want to cover her ears too. She can still hear your bullshit."

"Both if you are going straight to hell," the man grumbled, turning red with outrage. It was funny to Toni and I  how worked up he was getting.

"I'll see you there," Toni waved him off, just before pulling Cheryl into a soft, reassuring kiss.

The smaller girl noticed the subtle change in my before uneasy demeanour, as it referred back to her notoriously known confident way.

"Wow, we dealt with that better than I would've expected." Toni announced.

"Agreed, but I just can't believe people like that actually exist in today's society. You would think with gay marriage being legal, it being fairly popular and not their damn business they wouldn't act in such an ignorant manner." I briefly ranted.

"I know, like we aren't bothering anyone we are just two people in l- enjoying each other's company." Toni nearly blurted some subconscious feelings that she wasn't even aware existed.

"Mhm," I murmured slightly tired by the previous event, while relaxing my head to lie on Toni's supportive shoulder.

Toni noticed my shift in enthusiasm, "Should we call it a day then, Blossom?" The smaller girl suggested looking at me.

I just nodded, I was far to exhausted to take part in a real lexical conversation.

"Hop on," Toni insisted as she leaned down.

I was going to do reject her offer out of sympathy for the size difference between us, but sleep overruled and I just obliged.

"God Cher!" Toni feigned pain, in a teasing manner attempting to imply Cheryl was heavy.

"Shut up!" I slapped her playfully on the shoulder, as the pink haired girl prodded back to her motorbike.

Toni's POV

Somehow on the way back Cheryl fell asleep on my motorbike, so I carried her into her house.

Nobody was in Thistle House once we arrived, so I decided to help her into bed as well.

I lay Cheryl down on her red queen sized bed as I roamed her drawers for some nightwear, as I began the red haired beauty stirred uncomfortably, I stopped and made my way over to her quickly. "Toni," Cheryl called whilst scarcely conscious.

"I'm here," I arose from the corner of her room and sat beside her.

"Thank you," Cheryl said out of the blue.

"For what, babe?" I blurted out, which affected my beautiful girlfriend's physical state immediately, as she started to blush uncontrollably and suppress a light-hearted giggle.

"For choosing me of all the people you could have, which is anyone, you chose me a troubled, mean, cold hearted-" Cheryl rambled depreciatingly.

"Hey. Don't do that," I grabbed my princess' hand and caressed it with my thumb, " I'm not going to listen to you saying all those things about yourself, especially when they're untrue." Her head hung low, but as I began talking she slowly lifted it towards the end.

Cheryl abruptly jumped into me with her arms wide open, as I embraced my self-conscious girlfriend. The red haired girl was first to pull out of the hug, but as she did, she kissed me desperately trying to express her words through actions.

With what first started off as chaste kisses, soon initiated a more intimate response. Cheryl leaned onto me more until I tipped over lying on the bed with Cheryl straddling me.  I smiled into the kiss as I thought forward to what was about to commence, until a voice boomed from downstairs.

"CHERYL!..."
