Hello. I am Nimja, and this is a story of a personal dilemma.

Answer me this: if you had an object that you had kept in your possession for many years, but suddenly had gained an item or skill that could work better or faster than that object you so loved... do you keep it? Or do you get rid of it and sell it to someone else?

Now on the one hand, keeping the object may seem selfish and impractical, especially if you now have an item or skill that is much quicker and efficient. On the other hand, though, you have had this object for literally your whole life, and it has had such a sentimental value to you that you can't bear to live your life without it.

Well, that's the dilemma I was faced with, and it was very, very difficult to make that said decision.

Especially considering that the object in question was my bike.

If you're someone who lives in the Netherlands, like me, you know this struggle. You likely, if not certainly, own a bicycle and use it every single day. But for the most part, if you sell your old bike, the solution is obvious: you simply go to the bike store and buy a brand new one. Easy as that.

But my problem was different.

As you know, I am a Mew. I am able to teleport at will to other places in the blink of an eye, and frequently use portal travel to go to other dimensions. So using a bike seemed extremely inconvenient. But I had had my bike for as long as I could remember, and being a Dutch person, I felt as though it was an unspoken law that you had to have a bike, and you had to ride it around Amsterdam.

Meaning that when the time came when I really started thinking about what I wanted to do with the bike, I had no clue.

Now, you're probably asking, Sir, how did this whole dilemma start?

(:

Well, since you're so interested, feel free for me to tell you.

It began, of course, in the Bike Capital of the World itself (aka Amsterdam). More specifically, at my house. That day, I had gotten together a group of very, very old stuff that I didn't need anymore. I was planning to put all the old things in a giant truck that would ship everything away to goodwill or charity.

And at that moment, I was still busy cleaning my house of old things when I suddenly saw it.

Out of the corner of my eye.

My bike.

I flew over to it, extremely curious.

"Is that... my bike?" I asked. "What's this doing here...?"

Looking at it closer, I noticed that the bike appeared to be gaining dust on it. I suddenly realized that it had been sitting in a corner and likely unused ever since I had been turned into a Mew.

And then a horrifying thought hit me.

"Oh my god..." I muttered. "When was the last time I used this?!"

I thought back. I hadn't used it at all this past week. In fact, the latest I remember even touching my bicycle was on August 18, 2020.

The day before my transformation.

I blinked in shock. I hadn't used this thing for over a week?!

If bikes had feelings, mine would have to be extremely lonely right now.

And then I remembered what I had said to OGiNiM the day that I first met HyPN0se. The Bulbasaur had asked me if I was going to take a bike to get to the white building where Slang was being tortured.
