MMPR: The Next Generation

Chapter One

Five Years Later

A group of five thirteen year olds were all hanging out in the Angel Grove Park.

Selene and Gemini were laying in the grass sunbathing in the sun as Gemini was staring at a young boy, "Gem, your drooling again." Selene said grinning at her, "Selene, stop it." Gemini said as her face turned red from embarrassment.

They were watching three young boys; one with short, thick black hair and gorgeous dark eyes stood with a red headband on his forehead, wearing a red T-shirt with a hood and black jeans and a black karate belt around his waist, was training another boy with short brown hair, spiked up with a white T-shirt and blue jeans with a red karate belt around his waist. The third boy, an african american boy wearing a black shirt and black jeans was standing by and watching the other two.

The boy in red did an amazing aerial kick then turned to the boy in white, "Try to do it just like that." He said and the boy in white attempted the kick, but fell on his back and groaned.

The boy in red ran to him and knelt by him while the other kids ran over to their friends. The boy in white sighed as he sat up and looked at his friends, "I can't do it, Seth. I'll never become a black belt like you." He said and Seth shook his head, "Yes you will, you just have to keep trying, Tristan."  Seth said and Tristan rolled his eyes.

"The only reason you aren't a black belt like Seth is because of those three months you were injured." Gemini said softly smiling at Tristan.

"Gemini is right, Tristan, you only got behind. Now all you need to do is think and focus so you can catch up to me." Seth said and third boy nodded,

"Exactly right, Seth. Just keep practicing, Tristan, and don't give up." He said and Seth nodded, "That's right, Josh. See Tristan? We all believe in you and we are all behind you." He said and Tristan nodded with a smile, "Thanks guys." He said as Seth and Josh pulled him to his feet.

Everyone stood back and watched as Seth and Tristan returned to training.

Meanwhile, at a building away from civilization, there were an older man with scars and burns with a robot by his side, as they monitored space, looking for anything amiss.

"Anything, Alpha?" the man asked his robot companion.

"Not yet Master Ty........." Alpha was cut off when his computers went crazy, "On second thought, I found something sir." Alpha said.

"Put it up on the Viewing Globe, Alpha." he said as he walked towards the globe.

"Yes, master Tyler." Alpha said as he placed it on the viewing globe, "Master this isn't good." he said nervously.

On the globe, was a monster that had been sent to Earth, "Not again. It must be Zane." Tyler said. He looked over his shoulder, "Tarrick!" he called out. A man in a purple shirt and blue jeans walked over, "What is it, Ty?" he asked. Tyler looked at him, "A monster. Seems Zane is making his move." Tyler said. Tarrick nodded, "Don't worry, Ty, I'll keep him busy." he said and Ty nodded, "Good. Alpha, teleport those kids we've been watching here. The time has come." he said.

"Yes, Master Tyler." Alpha said as he found the kids on the globe and pressed a button to teleport them to the command center. "Hello everyone I'm Alpha." He said to the kids as they appeared in front of him with a freaked out look on their faces.

Seth and Tristan both took up fighting stances, "Where are we and how did we get here?" Seth demanded. Tyler's face was shrouded in darkness so the kids could not see him, "You are in the Command Center, Seth. Alpha teleported you here." he answered. Seth looked towards the unfamiliar voice, "Who are you?" he demanded. Tyler stepped out of the darkness, "I am Tyler Oliver." Tyler answered. Tristan's eyes widened, "Uncle Tyler? It isn't possible. Dad told me you died." he said. Tyler nodded, "I almost did. My friend saved me, but now's not the time. I called you all here to give you unimaginable power. Alpha, hand them the power coins." Tyler instructed.

Alpha walked over to them, "These are power coins, they will give you great powers." Alpha said as he handed Seth a red power coin, Tristan a white one, Josh a black one, Selene a pink one and Gemini a purple one. Seth turned the coin over in his hand, inspecting it, "What's it do?" Josh asked. Tyler walked over and held his hand out to Selene, "May I use you as a demestration, Selene?" he asked her.

"Uhhhh I guess." she said as she put her hand in his and looked a little nervous. He chuckled, "Don't be nervous, Selene." he assured her. He took her coin and placed it in her morpher before removing his hand from hers. Her mopher glowed and a pink suit covered her with a helmet. Everyone stared in shock and Tyler spoke to the others, "All of you, do the same thing I just did." he said. All the kids placed their coins in their morphers and were soon covered in suits as well. Tyler smiled.

"Woah, this is pretty neat." Gemini said smiling. Tyler chuckled before speaking, "Seth, you will be the red ranger and command the Red Dragon Thunder Zord. Tristan, you will be the white ranger and command the Tiger Thunder Zord. Joshua, you will be the black ranger and command the Lion Thunder Zord. Selene, you will be the pink ranger and command the Firebird Thunder Zord. And Gemini, you will be the purple ranger and command the Wolf  Thunder Zord. The five of you will be tasked with protecting the world from Zane and his many monsters, if you agree. What do you say, Rangers." He asked.

"Uhh yess." Selene and Gemini both said at the same time. Seth and Tristan fist bumped, "You got us." they said in unison. Josh grinned, "Looks like I'm outvoted." he joked, "You got me." he said. Tyler smiled, "Then go forth, and get ready to call your Zords. Good Luck, Power Rangers." he said smiling.
