Stop pretending to hate each other.
Shuyang's P.O.V
I sit in my room, playing Fortnite. I have nothing else to do, so I might as well.
"Shuyang! Someone's here to see you!!" My mom yells from downstairs.
I sigh turning off the computer and going downstairs. I go to the door, where my mom stands. She moves out of the way when I get there. Y/N is on the other side of the door.
"Don't waste my time." I say.
She scoffs, "I don't wanna be here. But my dad told me to invite you." She gives me a card.
I look at the card, "Thanks. I guess."
"Yeah. Bye." She says and walks away from the door.
"Bye." I close the door.
I look at the card in my hands. Balloons drawn on the front and then coated in silver glitter. Along with a blue background and even more glitter. So sparkly.
I opened the card.
You're invited to Y/N's 11th birthday party. This Saturday, starting at 4 and ending whenever all the cakes gone. It is Disney themed and dressing up would be appreciated. If you don't bring a gift Y/N will except money. Not a gift card, money.
Was written in neat cursive writing. I sigh.
"Mom, I need to look like a prince on Saturday!" I yell to my mom.
"Why?" She says as I come into the kitchen, where she is.
"Birthday party." I say and give her the card.
"Why is there so much glitter?" She says as she watches glitter sprinkle off of the card.
I shrug, "Honestly I don't know."
She opens the card and reads it, "We'll go get you a costume tomorrow."
I nod and take the card from her. I go up to my room. I put the card on the shelf. Making it look pretty next to last years Valentine's Day card from Malic, and a teddy bear from my aunt. I smile and look over out the window.
Y/N is sitting on her bed. From what I can see, she's going through pictures. I watch as she goes and hangs one on the wall with a pin.
I sigh and sit on my bed.
Don't pretend.
